Android 12

While other OEMs are busy providing November & December 2021 security patches, Samsung started to release the January 2022 security update from December 30. Unlike the last month, the Galaxy A51 became the first to receive this newer patch over the air even before changing the calendar year.

Since Samsung has dozens of smartphone models and tablets, it releases numerous software updates including November, December (2021) and January 2022 security patches, Android 12 (One UI 4) OS, new features, and bug fixes to various Galaxy devices in a single day (in different markets).
