Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is getting the May 2025 security update. The new firmware aims to enhance system security and stability by installing the latest patches. It’s the first update following Samsung’s Stable One UI 7 release.

Earlier this month, Samsung detailed May 2025 security patch details. It brings fixes for 58 high-level CVEs and 20 Samsung-specific items. Users can identify the over-the-air update via PDA build version S721NKSS3BYDF.

Samsung’s update changelog mentions “security code application.” It suggests that the scope of this release is limited to security improvements. However, it would sweeten the overall user experience by improving software functionality.

Here’s the changelog:

  • Security Code Application
    • Security-related stabilization code has been applied.

The update is initially available in South Korea, with Global expansion likely next week. You can manually check for the latest updates by navigating to Settings, followed by Software update, and Download and install.

The One UI 7 is widely available on the Galaxy S24 FE. The Fan Edition smartphone has adopted smooth animations, modern icons, unified rounded shapes, brand-new features, a new user interface, and upgraded Galaxy AI.

At the moment, the update is available now for Bluetooth models of the Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, and Watch FE.
