Samsung One UI 4.1: Navigation bar, a hidden feature!
Samsung’s navigation bars are amazing as always, in the previous user interface they were all-time visible on the screen, but now have the facility to be hidden at the bottom of the smartphone screen and pop up only when needed.
I think this is a kind of space-saving, which Samsung One UI 4.1 has applied meaningfully, showing all the creativity, with the available option and their combination.

What do you understand about the navigation bar?
A navigation bar or navigation system is a section of a graphical user interface intended to aid the user to access the particular information. Its the part of the user interface design elements.
The smartphone navigation bar, we are talking about comes in the primary navigation bar, which facilitates and provides a phone user with system insight. I think these are one of the crucial aspects of the interface we a looking at.
Samsung One UI 4.1: Navigation Bar
These are categorized as soft buttons, that appear in front of you when you turn on the smartphone screen. These soft buttons consist of a Recent button, a Home button, and a Back button by default. So, let us discuss them one by one,
First soft button: Popularly known as Recents, this soft button is shown by three vertical lines on your phone’s home screen. This takes you to the recently opened application, on which you are previously or currently working. You can tap to open the list.
Second button: The distorted and empty square tile represents the home, it lets the user return to the home screen. By pressing it you are redirected to the UI home, does not matter, where and on which app you are working.
Third button: This is represented by the leftward arrow icon and in itself indicates the smartphone user to return to the previous screen or operation. We are fully eligible to change the way they look. Let us see how to do this?
Instead of using the traditional navigation bar in One UI 4.1, you can use the swipe gestures. these hide the navigation bar very smartly. When you jump to the option you have two choices, have a look.
Hiding the navigation bar
This is very helpful while viewing files, and I like it because it facilitates me with a wider screen view. To make changes, follow these steps:
- Launch the Settings app
- Tap on Display
- Move to the Navigation bar
- Then tap on Swipe gestures, under navigation type
- Two gesture hints will appear in front of you
- ‘Swipe from bottom‘, and ‘Swipe from sides and bottom‘.
You can choose any one of them. One more additional feature which I found to be quite interesting is that if you want to hide the gesture hints, you can tap on ‘Gesture hint’ and click to deactivate it.

Samsung Galaxy S25 production to outpace S24 despite overall cuts
Samsung seems to have revised its smartphone production target for 2025. Meanwhile, Samsung is aiming to foster Galaxy S25 series production than the S24 series. New input suggests that the production target is reduced by 7 to 8 million.
According to TheElec, Samsung is cutting smartphone production estimates for 2025, but the flagship Galaxy S25 series could be produced higher than the Galaxy S24 series.
Back in October, it was reported that Samsung is aiming to produce 237 million phones in 2025. As per the revised plan, the company has set a production target of 229.4 million.
In particular, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to be produced at 37 million units. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 series is estimated to be shipped 35 million units this year.
It seems the budget and entry-level phones would be produced in slightly lesser quantities. The aim is to maintain a conservative outlook without impacting premium sales.
On the flip side, the report also revealed production estimation of foldable smartphones, as follows:
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 – 3 million
- Galaxy Z Flip FE – 900,000
- Galaxy Z Fold 7 – 2 million
These figures sum up to a production target of around 6 million units. Combining a Fan Edition model, the sale is still estimated at 6 million – suggesting a slow pace of adoption.
The Galaxy S25 series will launch in late January next year, while the foldable devices may debut in July. Samsung is also preparing to introduce a Slim variant of the S25 series, while the launch timeline is uncertain.
