Samsung One UI 4 (Android 12) Beta official for Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 4G/5G

Back in September 2021, Samsung introduced the Android 12-based One UI 4 Beta program for the latest Galaxy S series devices, however, the stable update rollout has recently begun for the Galaxy S21 series. Going ahead, the company expanded this activity to Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series.

According to the latest information, Samsung launched the One UI 4 Beta program based on the Android 12 for the older foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Z Flip LTE in its home ground. Though, it’s not confirmed at the moment whether it will be available outside South Korea or not.

One UI 4 Features: Samsung’s Android 12 update comes with tons of new features such as a redesigned user interface with revamped icons and Material You theming system. Besides, the One UI 4.0 also improves all of the stock apps, adds more lock screen widgets, quick settings toggles to turn off the camera and mic access and more.

How to join One UI 4 Beta program?

Simply, download the Samsung Members application from Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store. Log in to the application with your Samsung Account, and select the “Registration for One UI Beta Program” in the home banner or notices page to register.

Update the software

On your device, select “Settings > Software update > Download and install”. The beta software is installed.

Aside from South Korea, Samsung could also announce the One UI 4 Beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G devices in the US, India, Germany, Poland, the US, and China. However, the roadmap suggests that the stable Android 12 is not too away from these Galaxies.

Last year, Samsung brought the One UI 3.1.1 custom software update for its Galaxy device owners alongside the release of the Galaxy Z Foldable lineup. This year, the company seems to be following the same plan.

Back in October 2021, Google launched the new version of its mobile operating system that is Android 12. Inspired by Google’s Android 12 OS, One UI 4.0 comes with various new features and changes for all eligible Samsung phones.

The South Korean tech maker released the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for various Galaxy devices including all flagships and select mid-rangers. However, several devices are now outdated when it comes to official software upgrade support.
