Just recently, we’ve reported that Samsung is going to introduce a new One UI version i.e. the One UI 3.1.1 along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. At the same time, IceUniverse revealed another interesting piece of information regarding the software system of Samsung.
According to the info, the Korean tech giant will begin the One UI 4.0 testing for the Galaxy S series devices next month. However, it’s confirmed that the next major One UI version will be based on Google’s Android 12 operating system.
Last year, Samsung launched the One UI 3.0 testing program for the Galaxy S20 series flagships, followed by Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S10, and select mid-range phones. Meanwhile, it’s expected that the Galaxy S21 series will be the first to taste the flavor of Android 12-based One UI 4.0 next month.
Following its strategy, Samsung will first announce the One UI 4.0 for developers next month. Moving on, the company will expand the One UI 4.0 as a public beta program for eligible Galaxy S, Note, and Z series devices after completing the developer beta activity.
