Samsung leaker reveals Galaxy S27 Ultra telephoto camera changes

Published

on

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra SG26U

Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra may drop a camera sensor from the rear module, featuring a single telephoto camera. We have heard this shift many times in the past, and the Samsung leaker isn’t changing his stance.

According to IceUniverse, the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra has a single telephoto camera. The company has been shipping its top-tier Ultra flagship phones with two dedicated zoom camera sensors since 2021.

Galaxy S21 Ultra was the first to come with two telephoto cameras. The latest Galaxy S26 Ultra also features two zoom sensors; one offers 3x optical zoom, while the other offers 5x optical and 10x optical-quality zoom.

Samsung may change that in 2027

Galaxy S27 Ultra is widely rumored to have three cameras on the back. It will be one primary, one ultrawide, and one telephoto, while the front side boasts a brand-new selfie shooter.

Samsung may not continue the 3x telephoto sensor in the next flagship. This shift will turn the Galaxy S27 Ultra into a triple 50MP camera phone, with the telephoto offering 50-megapixel resolution with 5x optical zoom.

The company also plans to use a new 16-megapixel sensor for the selfie camera. It will likely offer Apple’s Center Stage-like photography experience. However, not many details were revealed in the report that appeared last month.

Galaxy S27 Pro may also be joining the flagship lineup next year. It will have a compact size, while bringing some decent specifications. Samsung also plans to expand S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display to all four models of the S27 series.

July 17, 2026: Original article…

Samsung is still days away from unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, but luxury customization company Caviar has already shown what an ultra-premium version of the foldable could look like.

The customized foldable features a hand-painted Lionel Messi portrait, 24-karat gold accents, cloisonné enamel artwork, and an extremely limited production run of just 19 units.

While the collaboration doesn’t reveal any previously unknown specifications about Samsung’s next foldable, it does show the confidence luxury brands already have in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s appeal.

Pricing begins at $13,130 for the 256GB model before any additional personalization. Caviar also lets buyers request custom engravings, logos, design revisions, and even bespoke packaging.

Caviar announced the collection ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 22, where the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is widely expected to make its debut. The launch also comes before the FIFA World Cup final, adding another layer of relevance.

Whether spending more than $13,000 on a foldable smartphone makes sense is another question entirely, but Caviar clearly believes there is a market for buyers who value exclusivity as much as technology.

With Samsung’s official announcement just around the corner, this may be only the first of several luxury interpretations built around the company’s next flagship foldable.

Five Samsung Galaxy Z projects leak, including Rollable and TriFold 2

Published

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Fold 8, and Fold 8 Ultra

Samsung’s internal roadmap doesn’t wait for retail shelves, and a fresh batch of code names gives us a decent early look at next year’s foldables. Samsung is working on five Galaxy Z projects, including a Rollable phone and a TriFold 2.

As spotted by GalaxyClub, Samsung product pipeline probably includes five Galaxy Z phones for 2027, including the Z Flip 9, Z Fold 9, Z Fold 9 Ultra, Rollable phone, and TriFold 2.

A new Galaxy Z Flip is in development under the code name B9, so a Flip 9 in 2027 is basically locked in. The Galaxy Z Fold 9 is tracked internally as H9, while the code name Q9, which covers two separate variants: Q9A and Q9B for Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra and Galaxy Z TriFold 2.

Code named Z9, the fifth device reportedly leans more tablet than phone in terms of hardware. The input points toward the long-rumored rollable, a device with a display that physically extends or retracts to change screen size.

Five Samsung Galaxy Z projects leak

  1. B9 → Expected to be Galaxy Z Flip 9
  2. H9 → Expected to be Galaxy Z Fold 9
  3. Q9A → Believed to be Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra
  4. Q9B → Believed to be the second-generation Galaxy Z TriFold
  5. Z9 → An unreleased rollable/slidable tablet-like device

We can’t say yet what Samsung would actually call Z9, or whether it lands under the Galaxy Z banner at all. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9, and Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra devices are fairly safe bets for summer 2027.

Samsung has the Galaxy S26 FE in the works, and it would launch with One UI 9.0 preinstalled. Following the Q2 2026 earnings call, Samsung’s Daniel Araujo confirmed (via Android Authority) that the phone is coming.

Galaxy S26 series is a hit when it comes to worldwide sales. Samsung plans to maintain the sales momentum of the flagship lineup. A new Fan Edition would keep the Galaxy S26 range in headlines in the closing quarter as well.

We will maintain S26 momentum through sustained marketing and the launch of the new S26 FE, while expanding upselling in the mid to high-end segments by bringing our core AI experiences to the A series.

Samsung just held a mega Unpacked event for its new foldable phones. The devices are available for pre-orders and general availability starts on August 7.

When asked, Samsung executives didn’t reveal the Galaxy S26 FE’s launch timeline. However, it is expected to launch at the beginning of September, with a recent leak claiming September 1 will be the launch date in Europe.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE

A new report revealed the launch date and price hike of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE. After targeting Galaxy S flagships, Galaxy Z foldables, and the budget/mid-range segment, memory crunch found its next target in the Galaxy S FE.

A European outlet just revealed Samsung Galaxy S26 FE phone’s launch date and price increase. Samsung may launch the Galaxy S26 FE on September 1, and a price hike is inevitable across all the memory configurations.

As per Dealabs, the Galaxy S26 FE retains 128GB variant even though Samsung dropped it from the mainstream flagships. This decision would keep the phone relevant in the market where Apple and Google have their own offerings.

Galaxy S26 FE leaked prices

  • 128GB – €749 (up €50)
  • 256GB – €809 (up €90)
  • 512GB – €929 (up €150)

The phone’s base memory version is getting pricier by €50 in France. As the storage size increases, the price hike jumps as well. The 256GB model, which sells the most, is getting up by €90, while 512GB climbs huge by €150.

Samsung’s Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 are also pricier than before. The company presents its Galaxy A5x lineup as a budget segment. However, getting a Galaxy S FE offers an even better experience and hardware specs.

Expect all Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S26 FE the same way the Galaxy S26 does. The device is retaining 45W charging, and the battery capacity is also expected to remain unchanged at 4,900mAh.
