Caviar brings cinema’s greatest characters to Galaxy Z Fold 8, costing $13,000
Luxury customizer Caviar has expanded its “Legends” collection with three cinematic-themed iterations of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 foldables, paying homage to classic film characters from The Godfather, Scarface, and The Dark Knight.
Handcrafted with 24-karat gold accents and detailed cloisonne enamel artwork, each design is restricted to an exclusive production run of just 19 units.
Pricing for the bespoke lineup opens at $12,560 for the customized Galaxy Z Fold 8 models, rising to $12,990 for the high-end Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra edition.

Samsung is still days away from unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, but luxury customization company Caviar has already shown what an ultra-premium version of the foldable could look like.
The customized foldable features a hand-painted Lionel Messi portrait, 24-karat gold accents, cloisonné enamel artwork, and an extremely limited production run of just 19 units.
While the collaboration doesn’t reveal any previously unknown specifications about Samsung’s next foldable, it does show the confidence luxury brands already have in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s appeal.
Pricing begins at $13,130 for the 256GB model before any additional personalization. Caviar also lets buyers request custom engravings, logos, design revisions, and even bespoke packaging.
Caviar announced the collection ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 22, where the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is widely expected to make its debut. The launch also comes before the FIFA World Cup final, adding another layer of relevance.
Whether spending more than $13,000 on a foldable smartphone makes sense is another question entirely, but Caviar clearly believes there is a market for buyers who value exclusivity as much as technology.
With Samsung’s official announcement just around the corner, this may be only the first of several luxury interpretations built around the company’s next flagship foldable.

A new Galaxy Z Flip is in development under the code name B9, so a Flip 9 in 2027 is basically locked in. The Galaxy Z Fold 9 is tracked internally as H9, while the code name Q9, which covers two separate variants: Q9A and Q9B for Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra and Galaxy Z TriFold 2.
Code named Z9, the fifth device reportedly leans more tablet than phone in terms of hardware. The input points toward the long-rumored rollable, a device with a display that physically extends or retracts to change screen size.

The camera specs of the Galaxy S26 FE include sensors from various suppliers. There’s an ISOCELL sensor for the main camera, a GalaxyCore for the ultrawide, an OmniVision for the telephoto, and Sony IMX for the selfie.

AndroidAuthority leaked the complete camera hardware for the S26 Fan Edition. The device is retaining a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, an 8-megapixel telephoto, and a 12-megapixel front camera.

Samsung is reusing the main camera module, which offers a 24mm, 1/1.57-inch sensor with a 1µm pixel size, an f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel PDAF, and OIS.
The Galaxy S26 FE will introduce a design similar to the main flagship models. It will have a triple camera setup on the back inside Ambient Island. Samsung may maintain a slightly different placement to differentiate the design.
Under the hood, the phone could be equipped with an Exynos 2500 processor built on 3nm process. It will keep the 4,900mAh battery, which users will be able to charge using a 45W charging adapter.
During the Q2 2026 earnings call, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S26 FE is coming. A separate report from a European outlet claimed that the launch date is set to be September 1, 2026.

The listing reveals ratings and principal characteristics of the device. It supports 15V and 10V charging input at 3.0A and 4.5A, respectively. Both figures result in an overall charging speed of 45W using a genuine adapter.
Samsung kept bringing 25W charging support to its FE models until the Galaxy S24 FE. Starting with the Galaxy S25 FE in 2025, the company has raised the bar and applied 45W wired charging, which continues in 2026 as well.
What about a silicon-carbon battery?
Samsung started using silicon-carbon batteries in Galaxy phones. The recently launched Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra are the first to come with the new battery tech.
The Korean tech giant is also reportedly working on bigger batteries for the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. This makes the Galaxy S26 FE a nice test model to verify the reliability before flagship phones.
Galaxy S26 FE could come with a 4,900mAh battery, the same as its predecessor. The company might replace the lithium-ion battery pack with silicon-carbon to keep capacity unchanged, while reducing the weight and thickness.
