BREAKING: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G S Pen and UWB support confirmed by FCC certification
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G smartphone has just certified by the USA’s FCC certification. The documents revealed a handful of interesting and noticeable features that you should need to know.
According to the FCC listing, the Korean tech giant’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature S Pen support, which was previously exclusive for the Galaxy Note lineup. However, its US variant bears model number SM-F926U.
In terms of connectivity, the next Galaxy Z Fold model will also come with ultra-wideband (UWB) support. If you don’t know, UWB tech is a short-range wireless communication protocol, which accurately defines the location of other UWB devices for a higher frequency data transfer with less power consumption.
It’s worth mentioning that the S Pen functionality was previously exclusive for the Galaxy Note phones, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra had grabbed it earlier this year. And now, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is going to become the first foldable phone that will feature the iconic S Pen support.

Samsung started shipping Galaxy Z Fold 3 to carriers
A few days ago, South Korean media Dailian reported that Samsung is shipping the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 to the largest network carriers – KT, LG U+, and SK Telecom for network compatibility testing.
Samsung aims to ship over 7 million foldables this year
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will reportedly come with a lower price tag compared to their predecessors. Moreover, the company has ordered around 60000 units per day and hopes to ship more than 7 million units of the new folding screen smartphone this year.
Launching on August 3
Well-known tipsters Max Weinbach & Jon Prosser revealed that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 at its upcoming Unpacked event on August 3, while their shipping will begin from August 28, meanwhile, an official confirmation still awaited.
Samsung has reportedly postponed the Galaxy F55 5G’s launch in India. New information suggests that the company will now reveal its new Galaxy smartphone on May 27. Meanwhile, all key specs have been revealed, with pricing remaining the mystery now.
Previously, Samsung confirmed the Galaxy F55 5G India launch for May 17 (today). While the official debut has now been delayed by 10 days, the company has listed the device with all the key specifications and features, while keeping the price unannounced.
Samsung’s F55 5G matches the specifications of the M55 5G and the design of the C55 5G. It sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
There’s a triple rear camera arrangement on the back, consisting of a 50MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calling, the Galaxy F55 5G packs a 50MP snapper, which is surprisingly a big deal in the segment.
Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, it supports fast charging up to 45W. It’s slated to get four years of Android + One UI upgrades and five years of security patches. Featuring a Vegan Leather design on the back, it will be available in two different shades: Raisin Black and Apricot Crush.

Vivo X100 Ultra is officially launched to challenge Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with a 200MP Periscope camera. Specs-wise, this smartphone outpaces Samsung’s latest Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of imaging capabilities, thanks to the custom Periscope sensor.
The new Vivo X100 Ultra comes with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 main camera, and a 200MP periscope camera leveraging the 1/1.4″ ISOCELL HP9 sensor co-developed with Samsung. It’s notably the largest telephoto sensor fitted on a phone to date.
The Periscope introduces f/2.67 aperture and an 85mm equivalent focal length. Following its collaboration, Vivo brought Zeiss T* coating and Zeiss APO certification to the X100 Ultra, as part of delivering improved clarity and less fringing at contrast edges.
This monstrous zoom camera brings up to 3.7x optical zoom and 20% improved light sensitivity. Its telephoto macro (a.k.a. telemacro) mode offers 20x magnification. The company also introduced its BlueImage algorithm which was in development for eight years.
X100 Ultra’s 50MP main camera uses a 1/0.98” LYT-900 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 23mm focal length. It also supports up to 4K 120fps video recording and Dolby Vision support. Besides, the 3rd lens is a 14mm equivalent ultrawide with a 1/2″ 50MP LYT-600 sensor.
Galaxy S24 Ultra…
The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera setup. The module consists of an advanced 200MP primary sensor – ISOCELL HP2, an ultrawide camera, a 10MP Telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Periscope with 5x optical zoom.
As the periscope camera is co-developed by Samsung, quality shouldn’t be questioned. This year’s Samsung flagship is equipped with a new 50MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom. However, the 200MP periscope sounds pretty capable and powerful over S24 Ultra’s.

Google just unveiled the Pixel 8a 5G smartphone to compete with Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. The new smartphone features a durable battery, the brand-new Tensor G3 chip from Google, long-lasting software support, and more.
Google Pixel 8a Specifications
The Pixel 8a smartphone sports a 6.1-inch Actua OLED screen with a high resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and brightness (up to 2,000 nits), featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
With 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage options, the Pixel 8a is powered by Google’s Tensor G3 processor. The smartphone includes a 4492mAh battery, supports fast charging, and offers wireless charging. However, it lacks the Pixel 8 series’ wireless powershare feature.
On the back, there is an impressive camera module that includes a 64-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. It also features a 13MP front camera for selfies.
Google promises seven years of software updates for the device, which is more than what’s offered for the Galaxy S23 FE. It comes preinstalled with Android 14. It also includes advanced security features to protect against malware and phishing.
Moreover, the smartphone supports a Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Gyrometer, Magnetometer, Barometer, Face Unlock, and Fingerprint Unlock. It is IP67-certified for dust and water resistance, as well as uses 24% recycled materials.
Availability and Price
Google Pixel 8a is offered in Aloe, Bay, Porcelain, and Obsidian colors. It comes in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB. The prices are as follows:
- For the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option, the cost is $499, £499, €549, or INR 52,999.
- The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at $559, £559, or €609.
