Earlier this year, Samsung launched its new image sensor called ISOCELL HM3 nearly the launch of the Galaxy S21 series. Moving on, this 108MP camera sensor made its first appearance at the first Galaxy Unpacked of this year, which currently comes with the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

However, any brand has not yet used ISOCELL HM3 in its flagship smartphones so that the Korean tech giant felt to explain the details of this latest image sensor along with the video. This product packs in 108 million 0.8um-sized pixels that are optimized to enhance clarity, allowing it to capture images that are highly detailed.

Each pixel is improved with ISOCELL 2.0 technology for enhanced light sensitivity and color fidelity. It also features Nonapixel technology, which elevates performance in low-light conditions. Adding to this, this image sensor includes an improved re-mosaic algorithm that allows it to rearrange its 108MP to best effect in bright settings.

Bring Images to Life with Vibrant Colors

A truly capable image sensor needs to be able to adjust in various lighting environments to take high-quality photos. With Smart-ISO, ISOcell HM3 is equipped with two levels of conversion gain in high and low ISO modes, allowing the camera to wisely choose the best settings for lighting conditions.

When shooting in a well-lit environment, ISOCELL HM3 takes photos in low ISO mode to convey colors more clearly and reduce oversaturation. However, when taking photos in low-light environments, the sensor switches to high ISO mode to ensure that the photos are bright and clear.

In order to further improve night shooting capabilities, ISOCELL HM3 uses multi-sampling technology, which can read scenes in multiple frames and average them to reduce noise in the final image. As a result, you can get a clear and clear night scene, while the graininess looks less noticeable.

Capture All Motion Clearly

When capturing sports scenes in motion, nothing is more important than autofocus. Fortunately, ISOCELL HM3 includes Super PD Plus, which uses a microlens to cover the phase-detection focusing agent and produce fast and accurate autofocus.

With advanced curvature on the autofocus microlens, this advanced phase detection autofocus (PDAF) in ISOCELL HM3 allows users to keep fast-moving objects in focus even in dark environments, thereby providing clear and clear To capture them.
