Latest Galaxy Note 8 software update brings April 2021 security improvements
A few days ago, Samsung initially pushed a new firmware update to its four years older Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. However, the Note 8 users in Latin America had grabbed new security improvements with this release at that time as it was an initial rollout.
Now, the South Korean tech giant is expanding the reach of this over-the-air update because the Galaxy Note 8 users in Europe are now receiving a new update (N950FXXSFDUD1), which comes with the latest Android and One UI patches released in April 2021.
As we know that, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8 in August 2017 and provided two major Android upgrades. As per the update policy, this device is no longer eligible to receive any new major Android or One UI upgrade. At the same time, the company has also moved the Note 8 to get security updates quarterly.
After delivering new security patches on a quarterly update basis, Samsung could also release two biannual security updates as the company committed to send four years of security updates to Galaxy devices.
Meanwhile. you can easily check for the latest software update by heading towards your device Settings, select the Software updates category, and finally tap on Download and install.
