Samsung One UI April 2021 security patch details
Samsung has already started releasing the April 2021 security patch to its several Galaxy smartphones even before starting the month of April. However, the company has recently published the security bulletin of the April 2021 security update, which details the revisions and bug fixes.
According to the official information, Samsung’s April 2021 patch keeps Galaxy phones and tablets secure against 6 critical and 37 high levels of CVEs. There’s no moderate level of threat found in this month’s patch while the company has already fixed 1 CVE with March’s patch and 1 CVE is not applicable for Samsung Galaxy devices.
Back in February 2021, the South Korean tech giant has officially announced that it will provide at least four years of up-to-date security patches for the Galaxy devices launched since 2019. Samsung security index (SSI), found in “Security software version”, SMR April-2021 Release 1 includes all patches from Samsung and Google. After the initial rollout in the US, Samsung has now expanded the reach of the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy Tab A7 Lite devices in more countries including Brazil. However, the update will also reach the remaining users in the coming days or weeks.
Going toward the details, the owners of Galaxy Tab A7 Lite will be able to identify One UI 6.0 update through the build version T220XXU6DWLB in Brazil. Simultaneously, the optimizations and features of the latest update are retained in the 15,61.98MB package.
Based on Android 14 the One UI 6.0 update offers several prominent features such as reimagined home screen, the ability to reposition clock on the lock screen, drag and drop with 2 hands, more information in the weather widget, Enhanced illustrations, and much more.
The update also brings a security patch released back in December 2023 to maintain the security and stability grades of the tablet. Additionally, the latest software version will also upgrade some stock applications to offer users a more optimized experience.
