[Expanding] Samsung begins Galaxy S21 July 2021 security update rollout internationally!
Update: Samsung Galaxy S21 series July 2021 security update is now rolling out to more countries such as India and UK.
July 13, 2021: It’s mid-July and Samsung just begin a new software update rollout for its latest flagship series. Though a bit late, but the Galaxy S21 series finally start getting the July 2021 security patch with a new software update internationally!
As of now, the latest update for the Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G, and Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is spotted in Germany as well as China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. You can check the updated software versions for different regions below.

As always, the new security update embeds fixes for a number of newly found CVEs including 41 from Google and 8 from Samsung for Galaxy devices. Unlike the last month’s hefty s/w, the July 2021 update doesn’t bring any new features or noticeable changes to the device’s software system.
Meanwhile, the installation of a new software update is necessary as its nourishes the device’s security and improves privacy as well. In addition, it should also enhance the stock functions and system applications for a better overall user experience.
Not a new thing, the update is initially rolling out in Germany, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, which could take some time to deploy globally. However, a few days back, Xfinity Mobile released the July 2021 security patch for its locked Galaxy S21 series devices in the US, followed by T-Mobile. [Read more]
We suggest you keep an eye on system notifications and begin the download just after getting the July update over the air. Wanna check for updates manually? Just open your device’s Settings, scroll down then tap on the Software updates menu, finally hit the Download and install button if the device finds a new OTA update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, XCover 7, and XCover 6 Pro get enhanced 4G support update
Samsung has started rolling out the advanced 4G band support update for Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, Galaxy XCover 7, and Galaxy XCover 6 devices. The update 4G network compatibility by enhancing the band.
The fresh update has revised support for the LTE TDD band. For German-purchased devices, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
In addition, the update also improves the security and stability of the device. It also fixes some issues for error-free services.

Google Play Store widely releasing ‘Government’ badge for official apps
Google has rolled out a ‘Government’ badge on the Play Store to identify official apps. This badge is marked by an icon of a building and appears in various sections of the store, including the main app feed, search results, and on app pages, next to the app’s rating.
Over 3,000 official apps have received the government badge after a period of testing. Google has collaborated with the respective governments and their developers to ensure the authenticity of these apps.
The badge is now visible on official apps from state and federal governments in several countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
It is recommended by official parties or agencies to use government emails when setting up their developer accounts. Apps that involve sensitive information, like voting or ID services, undergo extra verification.
By clicking on the badge, you can confirm that the app is verified and affiliated with a government entity. This new feature aims to provide users with a secure way to access government services through their mobile devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy M33 5G smartphones are getting a new update with April 2024 security patch in India. This update fixes several issues to enhance the security and stability for a better user experience.
