Over the past two weeks, Samsung updated most of the Galaxy devices to the latest security patch, while the rollout still running in full-fledged. Along with flagships, older and entry-level Galaxies also getting the July 2021 security patch with the latest software updates.
Now, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy A2 Core, and Galaxy Tab Active 2 started receiving new software update in different countries. Let’s talk about them individually. The new security update brings fixes for 41 CVEs from Google and 8 from Samsung for Galaxy devices.
Galaxy S20 FE 5G
The Snapdragon 865-powered Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now grabbing the July 2021 security patch in several European countries such as Italy, Greece, and Poland. The firmware version of this update is G781BXXU3CUG2 for the 5G variant, while G780GXXU1AUG2 for the LTE variant (Malaysia).
Galaxy Note 9
The US carrier Xfinity Mobile is now releasing the latest Android and One UI patches dated 2021-07-01 to the Galaxy Note 9 devices. The update carries PDA version number N960USQS9FUF1.
Galaxy Tab Active 2
Around four years older Galaxy Tab Active 2 is now receiving the July 2021 security patch through a new software update that bears build number: T395XXSCCUF4.
Galaxy A2 Core
Samsung’s ultra-affordable Galaxy A2 Core smartphone stated grabbing the latest security patch update in India. It comes with PDA version number A260GDDSBAUF1.
Wanna check for updates manually? Just open your device’s Settings, scroll down then tap on the Software updates menu, finally hit the Download and install button if the device finds a new OTA update.
