New update arriving for Verizon Galaxy S20 FE and Z Fold 2, check what’s new
Recently, we’ve seen the shocking Android 11 update rollout for Galaxy S20 models by Verizon and Samsung, and now, the carrier has begun sending new software updates for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 2.
So, one of the top carriers in the US, Verizon is again providing new firmware update for its bounded Samsung smartphones. Two devices getting different updates, Galaxy S20 FE improving its security with the latest December 2020 security patch while the Galaxy Z Fold 2 earning November 2020’s patch.

You can check for the latest software update on your Verizon-branded Samsung Galaxy S20 FE or Galaxy Z Fold 2 by opening the device’s Settings, scroll down until the Software updates option, then hit Download and install button.

What’s shocking did Verizon do?
You might already know that your selected network carrier has gone one step ahead providing stable Android 11 upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra in the US. Samsung and Verizon have opened the door of the stable One UI 3.0/Android 11 update to hit the Galaxy S20 series smartphones.
Following this release, Samsung started the One UI 3.0 public rollout for Galaxy S20 models (without carrier-branded) starting South Korea and expended it to numerous European countries.
When will your device get the Android 11/One UI 3.0 update?
As per the official roadmap of the One UI 3.0, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 2 are listed in the January 2021’s batch. In addition, we’ve recently reported, the Galaxy S20 FE will get the stable One UI 3.0 update on December 14, 2020 (As per leakster).

Samsung has already started the One UI 3.0 beta testing program for the Galaxy S20 FE and Z Fold 2 devices in South Korea. Both smartphones have received One UI 3.0 beta OTAs.

Samsung has provided several firmware updates related to the touchscreen issues of the Galaxy S20 FE but the issues remain unfixed. We’re expecting that the company will completely solve the severe problem with the upcoming Android 11 upgrade.

April 2024 security update does not include One UI 6.1 features for the Galaxy S22 series, along with the Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. These devices are scheduled to receive the update in the next week.
