Koreans to sue Samsung for limiting Galaxy S22’s performance, demanding $243 compensation

It looks like, Samsung may face legal trouble due to limiting the performance of the newly launched Galaxy S22 series smartphones. According to a recent report by YonhapNews, some Galaxy S22 consumers are preparing to sue Samsung alongside demanding $243 compensation for each person.
While the Korean tech giant claiming the “best performance ever” on the Galaxy S22 phones, the GOS is critically killing the performance that users want. Hence, some owners are now feeling “cheated” as they are no longer experiencing the capabilities of a flagship phone that has a pro-grade processor, software.

To be mentioned, the Galaxy S22 series devices feature an application called Game Optimizing Service. This app is designed to force games with heavy specs to limit speed and battery usage to prevent overheating. Following harsh criticism, the company promised to bring additional management options for the GOS with future updates.

Aside from consumers, it’s also expected that South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission could investigate Samsung regarding the allegations it violated advertising law when marketing the Galaxy S22 series, as per The Korea Herald sources.
While consumers facing performance issues with not only games but with some 3rd party apps such as Netflix and TikTok as well. Due to such issues, a popular benchmark platform Geekbench also banned four Samsung Galaxy S lineups for performance evaluation.

Samsung Galaxy A05s design and specs revealed on Google’s Play Console

Samsung will soon introduce two entry-level smartphones under its Galaxy A portfolio. Ahead of the launch, Google Play Console listed the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A05s, revealing its design (front & back) along with some of its key specs.
According to the info, Samsung Galaxy A05s will sport a screen with 1080×2400 resolution, Android 13 on board, Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood, and 6GB of RAM. It’s possible that there will be different internal storage variants for consumers.

Google confirms Galaxy S23 FE coming in two SoC variants

Google Play Console database confirmed that Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE will be available in two SoC variants. The company is about to introduce a handful of new Fan Edition products including a smartphone, two tablets, and a pair of wireless earbuds.
In a recent development, Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE surfaced on the Google Play Console database, which not only confirmed that two SoC variants are coming but an image of the phone also got shared. The device will have Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips, based on market/region.

In addition, the S23 Fan Edition will bring 8GB of RAM, well, at least one of its variants will. It’s easily possible this will be the only RAM variant, though.
