Samsung Galaxy A50 June 2021 security update has arrived, yours to download now
Yup! It’s the first day of this month and Samsung has started killing the stock Android, better known as Google, with its back-to-back software updates. Around a week ago, the Galaxy S21 series has started receiving the June 2021’s security patch, followed by the Galaxy S20 series, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
So far, Google has not yet given the June 2021 Android patch to its high-profile Pixel phones, while the Galaxies have already started grabbing the latest One UI patch one by one. This time, Samsung not picked a flagship device as two years older Galaxy A50 mid-ranger is the latest to join the party with the June patch.
According to the info, the Galaxy A50 smartphone has begun collecting the June 2021 One UI and Android patches in India. This update bears a PDA build number: A505FDDU8CUE4 which weighs over 500MB, so you should not download it by cellular data connection.
With the new Galaxy A50 s/w update, users getting Samsung’s legendary copy-pasted changelog that shows only security and device stability improvements, new and / or enhanced features, and further performance improvements. Meanwhile, the size of the update package hints at major optimizations or some new features.
Well, the Galaxy A50 had already upgraded the Android 11-based One UI version 3.1 that delivered plenty of new features, but there’s also bad news that this device will spend its remaining time on the Android 11 as its the last major update. However, Samsung will offer more new security updates and could also the One UI 3.5.
If you own the Galaxy A50 in India, then permit your device to download the update by going towards Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra in Canada can verify the July 2024 security update through the One UI build version ending with BXCG. The installation package size of this update is around 358.38MB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 users will soon get One UI 6.1.1 update with a bunch of new features. Talking about Galaxy A54, the update is already available in the US and Korea. Now, the company is making it available in Brazil with One UI build version A546EXXS9CXG3 and an installation package size of 281MB.
The update enhances security and security by fixing over 55 issues. It includes fixes from Google for critical vulnerabilities in Android, ensuring that Galaxy devices are more secure against potential threats.
