Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to feature new Exynos chip with AMD GPU: Rumor

Due to the rising era of foldable smartphones, Samsung bet on its next-gen folding phone by canceling the high-profile Galaxy Note lineup this year. The company could introduce two different types of bendable models including a clamshell-type (Galaxy Z Flip) and horizontally foldable (Galaxy Fold/Z Fold 2).

So far, several reports gave us an idea of some of the specs and design of both upcoming foldables while their chipset still remains a mystery. Meanwhile, it looks like the industry insiders got the details regarding this puzzle as a reliable source claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s chipset is top-secret.

If this info comes true then the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will not be powered by Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100. Besides, it’s most likely to equip a new Exynos processor with an AMD GPU. However, the company had also made a clear statement at the launch conference of Exynos 2100 that the “next flagship product” will come with an AMD GPU.

Reports also indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 could be equipped with a new version of the Snapdragon 888. Furthermore, this device is expected to hit the market most probably in July/August this year while an official announcement is yet to come.

As per the previous reports, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 could come with a slightly smaller cover display than the Galaxy Z Fold 2. And the company could also decrease the battery capacity of this smartphone for design and feature upgrades.
