After launching the two folding phones including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Flip 2 last year, Samsung is preparing to soon introduce its new foldable smartphones and show off its innovative display technologies.

Just like any anticipated gadget, the leaks and rumors about the company’s upcoming handsets also surfacing with full flash nowadays as we’ve recently witnessed a rumor suggesting the display size of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Adding another rumor in the track, this new information is also related to Samsung’s upcoming folding phone. According to DSCC analyst DSCCRoss, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 feature a 7.55-inch foldable display and a 6.21-inch outward display, which is quite similar to the Z Fold 2.

On the other hand, the next clamshell type folding smartphone rumored to equip a 6.7-inch display diagonal for the main foldable panel while the cover display will measure 1.83-inch, which is slightly larger than the Galaxy Z Flip.

Aside from this, a recently leaked info suggested that Samsung is planning to decrease the Galaxy Z Fold 3′ cover display, which could be a strategic decision to reduce the higher pricing of folding phones to expand its reach to more consumers.

Furthermore, reports also revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will support the S Pen functionality while the latest leaks don’t show anything about that. Lastly, Samsung has not yet exposed its plans for future smartphones while it is expected to hold an Unpacked event in the third quarter where the new foldable models will be released.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 crease

Samsung is set to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, at the Galaxy 2024 Unpacked Event next month. Several reports have been surfacing online that reveal the features, design, and specs of these devices. A new report reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 may have less visible crease than the Z Flip 5.

According to tipster IceUniverse, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone will get slight improvements in the crease in comparison to its predecessor. The company is constantly trying to eliminate the crease in foldable displays, with gradual improvements being made.

The Korean tech giant aims to offer an even better display experience with the less visible crease in its next foldable phones. In foldable display products, the crease is the area where the panel folds and unfolds. It is almost impossible to eliminate the crease, but Samsung is improving it.

Previous reports also revealed that Samsung will use thicker ultra-thin glass (UTG) for the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s folding screen. By using this glass, the smartphones will have smaller crease and durable glass. While the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with a UTG of 30 microns, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 might use 50 microns thicker UTG.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Titanium frame

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra might not be limited to South Korea. A new report indicates that the company could launch its first Ultra foldable phone in at least two countries: China and South Korea.

AndroidHeadlines reports that Samsung is planning to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra in China too. Previously, it was reported that the company could keep this exclusive variant limited to its home ground.

Samsung has been working on Q6 and Q6A for a long. As per previous reports, Q6 is the internal codename for the Z Fold 6, while the Q6A is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

In a surprising development, Samsung SM-W9025 has been spotted on AndroidHeadlines database. It doesn’t match SM-F958N, which is the Korean variant’s model number.

Samsung Z Fold 6 Ultra launch

It is expected that the model number of Samsung’s upcoming foldable in China is quite different from the Korean variant. So rather than Z Fold 6 Ultra, Samsung may opt for W25 Ultra naming for its debut in the Chinese market.

Earlier, Samsung’s Kazakhstan website accidentally published official promo material of the Unpacked. The image revealed the design of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Since the Z Fold 6 Ultra was missing from the leaked promo, it is expected to be limited to certain markets. Also, rather than the Unpacked stage, the company may pick a later date to introduce its nighty foldable handset.

Samsung Slow down issue fix

Samsung has no plan to bring a larger battery to the Galaxy S25. In a new report, GalaxyClub reports that the company won’t revise the battery capacity in the next generation of phones. At present, the information has arrived for Standard variant only.

GalaxyClub reports that the Samsung Galaxy S25 will use the same battery as the S24. The phone’s battery will have a rated capacity of 3881mAh, which the company will market as 4000mAh. We still guess the battery efficiency will be improved due to the 3nm chipsets.

The Galaxy S25 smartphone will carry model number SM-S931. The lineup’s Plus and Ultra models should get a battery increment, but it isn’t much expected. As the phone launches early next year, it’s too early to predict such changes for the flagships.

Meanwhile, the South Korean tech giant will release new foldable phones next month. The company may launch the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 foldables. Besides, the Galaxy Watch 7, Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Ring are likely to be unveiled.

Recently, it was reported that the Galaxy S24 FE is also under testing. The phone benchmarked for the first time on Geekbench, revealing a degraded Exynos 2400 chipset. The Fan Edition device may be introduced sometime around Google’s Fall event.
