What to do if the Google Play Store stops downloading app on Samsung devices

1. Check whether the Download app is disabled

Settings > Apps > Tap on three dots at top right corner > Show System Apps > Download Manager > Enable. 

2. Clear Google Play Store’s App Data & Cache.

Method 1:

Settings > Applications > Application Manager > All > Google Playstore > Clear Data & Clear Cache.

Method 2:

Settings > Apps > Google Playstore > Storage > Clear Data & Clear Cache.

3. Reset App Preferences.

Method 1:

Settings > Applications > Application Manager > Click on the More option or on three dots on the top right corner of the screen > Reset app preferences.
