This Flex Zoom feature will not be exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for long, as Samsung will soon expand its availability. The Auto Zoom feature is coming to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 via the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update.

Users of Galaxy Z Flip smartphone can easily use this feature, just need to follow a few steps:

  • Open the Camera app on the cover display and activate Flex mode on your device.

  • The camera will detect the person and automatically adjust to the appropriate zoom ratio.
  • You can indicate your readiness to take a photo by showing your palm or using voice commands like “Smile”, “Shoot” or “Click”
