Google Photos bringing reminders feature with Calendar app integration

Published

Google Photos new Video feature

Google Photos is one of the most popular apps for storing and organizing your photos. And soon, it will also help you remember important events and tasks by integrating with Google Calendar.

According to information through TheSpAndroid, Google Photos has been preparing a new feature that will allow users to set reminders from their photos. The feature will show up as a “Set reminder” option on images that contain text and dates.

When users tap on the option, they will be able to create a reminder in Google Calendar that will include a link to the original image in Google Photos. This way, they can easily access the source of the reminder and get more details. However, it does not seem to extract any information from the image itself.

The feature is currently available in the Google Photos version 6.61, but it is not enabled for everyone. It is likely that Google is still testing and improving the feature before rolling it out to all users.
