One UI 6.1 update released for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5
Samsung has updated its Galaxy Tab Active 5 with the major One UI 6.1 software to make it more secure and smarter. The update is initially rolling out in South Korea and the company will soon expand it.
Identified via version X306NKOU1AXD7, the One UI 6.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 users will have to download around 2GB to install the update.
One UI 6.1 update introduces advanced image editing capabilities, allowing users to clip and transfer elements between images with more accuracy, thanks to improved AI. The Gallery’s search functionality is more efficient, and video editing now includes adjustable playback speeds and the ability to continue editing on another Galaxy device.
Moreover, the visual experience is enriched with depth-of-field effects for wallpapers and new widgets for the lock screen. Users can now customize fonts for the clock widget and set personalized alerts for alarms and reminders.
The major update enhances connectivity features such as Quick Share, web browser synchronization across Samsung devices, and more. If you have received the update, install it now to enjoy new features on your Galaxy Tab.

Samsung Galaxy Enhance-X adds cool new AI features
Samsung announced the October 2024 version of Galaxy Enhance X with new AI features. The latest update brings content from the May 2024 release for Galaxy devices. The newly added features are aimed at enhancing the user experience.
Galaxy S24’s Camera Shift feature will now be available in other models too. The release also improved recognition performance so it can work with various subjects, including children, upper body, side photos, seated photos, and group photos.
Camera Shift
Galaxy Enhance-X’s new Camera Shift feature has made the sliding menu easier. It now also allows you to select specific users to apply the function in group photos. Galaxy Enhance-X now also supports landscape mode and Samsung DeX.
The existing Camera Shift feature is available on One UI 6.1, and the newly updated features are supported from One UI 6.1.1 onward. The new Galaxy Enhance-X app is available for download through Samsung’s Galaxy Store.

Here are the key changes made based on user feedback:
The developers addressed the inconvenience regarding the EXIF info not being retained in the Galaxy Enhance-X, ensuring that EXIF information is preserved even after applying effects through the editing application.
A new Colorization feature has also been added, which uses AI to naturally restore colors in black and white or grayscale images. Besides, the Motion Clipper feature creates GIF files from video clips in Motion Photos.

Motion Clipper
As previously explained, this feature creates GIFs from the video clips in Motion Photos.
Currently, the Motion Clipper is supported on flagship models that run One UI 6.1.1 and above.

Video Trim UX
You can now edit the desired segment to your liking without needing to go to the Gallery. It’s the Video moment feature that automatically recommends the needed segments in the video.
Single-Take Viewer
You can now directly check, save, and share the content generated by Single Take within Galaxy Enhance-X.

Android Auto 13.0 update gives a sneak peek at new Car Media feature
Google is rolling out a new update for Android Auto with version 13.0. This update mainly focuses on fixing bugs and improving performance to enhance the experience.
Android Auto 13.0 update reveals that Google is working on a new feature called Car Media, which will let users control AM/FM radio and local media more easily. This feature aims to improve how users interact with your car’s audio system.
In the latest version, some hidden code hints at how this new feature will work with missing and unavailable media. Although this feature isn’t live yet in Android Auto 13.0, the presence of some strings (spotted via 9to5Google) suggests that it could be coming soon.
Previously, icons related to this feature were added to the app, which shows that Google is making progress. Users can look forward to a more seamless way to manage their music and radio when this feature is officially launched.
Aside from this, the update also fixes some issues that users encountered in the previous version to enhance the overall performance. While users may not see big changes immediately, it hints at a better audio experience in the future.

Samsung launches Galaxy A16 5G with 90Hz OLED, 6X OS upgrades and more
Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A16 5G in the Netherlands. The device packs a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, sAMOLED screen, and 50MP camera, and supports 6x OS upgrades. We expect the market availability will be expanded soon.
The Galaxy A16 5G sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The camera department includes a 50MP wide, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro camera alongside a 13MP selfie snapper.
The phone has 4GB RAM that is paired with 128GB storage, which you can extend by up to 1.5 TB. More RAM and storage configuration variants could be made available once Samsung expands its market availability.
Samsung Galaxy A16 measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 and weighs 200 grams. It packs 5000mAh battery with up to 25W charging support. Supported sensors include an Accelerometer, Fingerprint Sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Light Sensor and Virtual Proximity Sensing.
The best part: Samsung confirmed 6 years OS upgrades policy with the Galaxy A16. It’s the first smartphone that will get 6 times of major Android updates and regular security patch updates until October 2030.
Samsung announced 7 OS updates for its 2024 flagship phones. Now, the A16 and later mid-range phones are confirmed to be supported by 6 years of software updates. Starting with Android 15, major updates up to Android 20 are promised.
