Samsung Galaxy S22 and S21 FE will now have free in box charger, only for Brazil
Samsung Brazil announced that a free charger in-box will be shipped with the Galaxy S22 5G manufactured from March 29, 2023, while Galaxy S21 FE will get the same treatment from April. Since the Brazilian govt mandated phone makers to give a charger at no additional cost, Samsung is making changes.

In case you’ve purchased a Galaxy device without a free charger in Brazil, the company will continue to offer the possibility of redeeming the charger through the Samsung For You website, at no additional cost. However, the device you own requires to be still available at retail stores for a free charger.
Fans who purchase Galaxy S21 5G, S21+ 5G, S21 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S22+ 5G, S22 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, or Galaxy Z Flip3 5G can get a free genuine charger from Samsung. You just need to follow this link, submit the purchase invoice and follow further instructions.
When purchasing one of the corresponding devices, you can redeem your plug charger completely free of charge. The request can be made within 30 days from the issuance of the invoice for the product. After successful application, your gift will be sent within 30 business days after approval of your registration.
Things to remember:
- The CPF and registration name must be the same as the invoice
- The date of the invoice must be within the stipulated period, according to the regulation
- Attach proof of purchase in case the invoice is issued after the deadline
- Your redemption will be validated within 8 business days
- Pay attention to the registered e-mail, as you will receive all the promotional information via e-mail
- Samsung may request more documents in addition to those attached in the rescue for data confirmation and security.
In Brazil, Samsung launched all smartphones with a charging adapter inside the box since the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G, in August 2022. The models that bring a charger inside the retail box are the Galaxy S23 series, A54, and A34.

Counterpoint Research predicts Wear OS will lead 27% market share in 2024. The growth of Wear OS is highly powered by Samsung apart from Google and newcomers. Meanwhile, HarmonyOS is also growing in mainland China, expected to seize 61% market.
According to the report, Samsung, Google, OnePlus, OPPO, and Xiaomi will drive Wear OS volumes. In the global market, non-WatchOS shoppers prefer Wear OS, while HarmonyOS in China. Accordingly, the Wear OS share outside China will climb to 27% this year.
Samsung Galaxy Watch has a large share of the overall Wear OS market. Google is also expanding its footsteps in the segment, with the third iteration of Pixel Watch coming later this year. Rumor is that an affordable Pixel Watch 2a might also be introduced.

Samsung will reveal the third-gen GAA applied in the 2nm (SF2) process at the VLSI Symposium 2024 BusinessKorea reports. The company will likely commence mass production based on its next-gen (2nm) fabrication process next year.
High production costs and economic downturn benefitted TSMC in 3nm products. Apple’s latest chip is fabricated on a 3 nanometer process node, while the latest Snapdragon chips still utilize 4nm tech. Meanwhile, Samsung aims for third-gen GAA to apply in the 2nm process.
Well, Taiwan’s TSMC is also targeting GAA technology for 2nm products. Faster adoption and production are expected to push Samsung Foundry to gain clients. Competitive pricing would also benefit it bringing back consumers like Qualcomm for Snapdragon.

Samsung’s GAA is a next-gen transistor technology, which regulates and amplifies or switches off the flow of current within a semiconductor. It features a redesigned transistor architecture to overcome problems like current flow in smaller semiconductors to improve power efficiency.
