Beating Verizon, T-Mobile becomes the 5G champion in the US

Published

on

For the first time in 12 years of PCMag testing mobile networks in the United States, T-Mobile has been named as the fastest mobile network. With an average download speed of 162.3Mbps, T-Mobile surpassed most competing cities. After years behind, how did T-Mobile transform you?

In the race for 5G service performance, major carriers have followed different strategies. Verizon and AT&T have expanded their use of mmWave, a spectrum band that offers high speed but does not go far.

The acquisition has given T-Mobile access to mid-band airwaves, which increases its ability to provide 5G service. T-Mobile was the only 5G carrier in the country faster than 4G. In cities like Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, and Tucson, Arizona, T-Mobile 5G phones use 5G almost 90% of the time.

T-Mobile beats Verizon to become fastest 5G mobile network in US

Verizon and AT&T have shown a slowdown, but that is likely to change. The two companies spent about $ 70 billion on C-band licenses at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) auction in February 2021. They will begin shipping 5G to the industry starting in December.

T-Mobile 5G service was very fast overall, but its coverage is lacking in small towns and rural areas. AT&T has improved T-Mobile in those regions, especially in the North West and in the Carolinas. AT&T’s average download speed was 98.2Mbps, slower than T-Mobile’s, but that doesn’t make any difference if T-Mobile doesn’t offer your locality.

T-Mobiel 5G Network Test

At 93.7Mbps, Verizon’s average download speed was slightly lower than AT&T. The company has purchased more C-band licenses than any other, so it’s ready to offer faster speeds soon as it launches 5G service.

If you have not upgraded to a 5G phone, you will need to do so soon no matter what carrier you use. The difference between 4G and 5G has always been suppressed, but T-Mobile’s victory proves that mid band 5G will change that.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE One UI 6.1 India

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE now supports the Camera Assistant app. The company has silently brought this upgrade to one of its popular Fan Edition smartphones. However, some Camera Assistant features available in flagship phones don’t arrive on the S21 FE.

Folks over at SamMobile highlight that Camera Assistant support for Galaxy S21 FE went live in January this year. It’s worth noting that the Camera Assistant app received its last update in January, which probably made the S21 FE-supported model.

Camera Assistant is a free-to-download app available on the Galaxy Store. Support for S21 FE was initially planned to arrive with a One UI 6.0 upgrade. The company has also fulfilled its promise, while this significant development didn’t fall under our radar.

Once downloaded, you will be able to make changes to the stock camera application. Camera Assistant allows you to bring a 2x zoom button to the camera viewfinder, picture softening, burst shot when using the timer, distortion correction, and disable long press video recording.

The Samsung Care+ program now covers two claims per year in India. The new policy applies to all kinds of Care+ plans that include Accidental and Liquid Damage Protection and Screen Protection only. Previously, it covered two claims within two years.

It’s a pretty significant decision the company has taken given consumer satisfaction. We’ve observed cases of consumer dissatisfaction with authorized Samsung centers and staff assigned there. They either lack idea about the latest flagship products or delay unusually.

The company offers the Care+ subscription for free with flagship devices in select countries. Paying a one-time fee, you can raise a claim at authorized Samsung service centers.

It ensures your Galaxy device is repaired through an official channel at a minimal cost. Samsung’s Care+ program is available for smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other devices.
