Qi2 wireless charging may be coming on Galaxy S27 Ultra without S Pen issues
Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra may finally bring one of the long-awaited upgrades: Qi2 wireless charging support with built-in magnets.
The next-generation flagships are coming early next year, but early leaks signal the arrival of some pending upgrades. The shift in camera island design is apparently bringing notable changes to the two flagship phones.
Galaxy S27 Ultra finally getting Qi2 wireless charging
Samsung debuted Qi2 charging on the flagship Galaxy S25 series; the caveat was a special accessory. The company launched specific cases that make its flagship phones compatible with Qi2 wireless charging technology.
Galaxy S26 series maintained the approach rather than bringing built-in magnets. It is said that the S Pen (stylus) interference is a major issue stopping engineers from installing magnets inside the back panel of the flagship phones.

Samsung may have finally resolved the issue, which required it to rethink its camera sensor strategy on its flagship devices. Galaxy S27 Ultra is dropping one telephoto camera and adopting a 3-camera setup inside a prominent island. Galaxy S27 Pro also features the same design, while keeping the screen at around 6.5 inches.

These architectural changes may have allowed Samsung to install magnets beneath the rear panel, at least on the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. Built-in magnets will offer Qi2 charging support, without needing specific cases.
Samsung is also making the Galaxy S27 Ultra a little thicker than its predecessor. The difference in thickness is merely 0.7mm, but every number matters. This also indicates some structural changes and a hardware rethink.
- Galaxy S26 Ultra: 7.90 mm
- Galaxy S27 Ultra: 7.97 mm
Samsung confirmed it is working on next-gen flagship phones and new form-factor products for the coming year. However, the company has not promised native Qi2 charging on the Galaxy S27 Pro/Ultra, at least for now.
Galaxy S27 series may launch in February 2027.

Samsung Galaxy S27+ certification reveals unchanged 45W charging speed
Samsung’s next-generation flagship phones have recently surfaced with regulatory certification authorities. A recent finding revealed the chip, memory, and screen details, and now a separate listing reveals unchanged 45W charging on the Galaxy S27+.
According to TheTechOutlook, the Samsung Galaxy S27+ has been listed by SGS Fimko Ltd in Finland, with the authority revealing its 45W charging speed. This is not new, but the model is retaining what its predecessor offers.
Other models in the lineup are expected to feature different speeds, including 25W and 60W. Samsung will be disappointing the buyers of the base Galaxy S27 model due to its 25W wired charging speed.
On the other hand, the newly added Galaxy S27 Pro reportedly supports 60W fast charging. Galaxy S27 Ultra, in the meantime, will retain what the Galaxy S26 Ultra brought to the table earlier this year: 60W wired fast charging.

Samsung is also ramping up the battery capacity of its top-tier models. The Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra may pack a silicon-carbon anode. This upgrade will likely bring a 5200mAh battery to the Pro and 5700mAh to the Ultra.
We haven’t heard the battery capacities of the other two models. Samsung might keep the Galaxy S27 Plus battery unchanged. The base model should see a battery capacity bump, but that’s not certain until any input surfaces.
Samsung Display has started OLED production for the new flagships. Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will be equipped with Privacy Display tech. The base and Plus variants are expected to launch with enhanced OLED featuring M14+ material set.

Galaxy Z Fold 9 series could feature the same old camera setup
Samsung fans expecting big camera upgrades in the Galaxy Z Fold 9 series may be disappointed. A new leak suggests that Samsung could use almost the same cameras as the previous generation.
According to Korean tipster Lanzuk (yeux1122) on Naver, Samsung is not planning major changes to the camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 9 and Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra is expected to feature a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 3x optical zoom camera. The telephoto camera could remain a 10MP sensor, just like the previous model.
This means Samsung may once again skip a periscope camera, which could offer better zoom. Many users have been waiting for improved zoom features on Samsung’s expensive foldable phones.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold 9 may also keep the same cameras as the Galaxy Z Fold 8. It is expected to come with a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
Meanwhile, Samsung is rumoured to be working on more foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 9 Plus, Fold 9 FE, Fold 9 Pro, and Galaxy Z Slide. The company may be planning to expand its foldable lineup to compete with Apple and Chinese smartphone brands.
However, camera upgrades do not seem to be a priority for Samsung this time. It is important to note that these details are based on an early leak, and Samsung has not officially confirmed them.
If the leak is correct, Samsung fans may have to wait another year for major camera improvements in its foldable phones.

Samsung Galaxy A38 leak reveals a huge battery upgrade that could surprise everyone!
Samsung is reportedly planning a big battery upgrade for its upcoming Galaxy A38 smartphone. The phone is expected to launch in 2027 and could have the biggest battery ever used in a Galaxy A-series phone in Europe.
According to the latest information, the Galaxy A38 will come with a 5,882mAh rated battery. Its advertised capacity is expected to be around 6,000mAh. This is almost 20% bigger than the batteries Samsung has used in its Galaxy A series phones for years.
The bigger battery could help users use their phones for longer without charging them frequently. However, it is not yet clear whether Samsung will use silicon-carbon battery technology.
There is also no confirmed information about the battery capacity of the Galaxy A58. It may also get a 6,000mAh battery, but this has not been confirmed yet.
Aside from this, the Galaxy A38 may not bring major changes. It is expected to feature a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, it may have a 12MP front camera. Samsung could use the same camera setup found in the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A37.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A38 and Galaxy A58 together in March or April 2027. The Galaxy A38 could cost close to €500. For comparison, the Galaxy A36 launched at €379, while the Galaxy A37 started at €429.
The Galaxy A38 could be a good choice for users who want a bigger battery, but major camera improvements are not expected. Stay tuned for more information.

Why leaving your Galaxy Z Fold 8 or iPhone Duo open overnight might be the unofficial fix for screen creases
Foldable phones are more mature than ever, and Apple has also entered the segment, eight years after being on the fence. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Apple’s iPhone Duo are available for purchase, but one long-standing complaint remains: the initial visibility and worsening state of screen creases.
Taking physics into account, it is possible to avoid an early arrival of wrinkles on the screen. That doesn’t require you to do anything special; just a consistent charging strategy is all you need to adopt for a less visible crease on your screen.
Here’s the analysis and its scope:
Leaving a foldable open overnight will not erase a crease, and we found no guidance from Samsung or Apple recommending it. The habit rests on sound polymer physics, a few owner anecdotes and one widely shared leaker post.
The devices at the center of the claim are real, and the two share one headline number:
- Galaxy Z Fold 8: unveiled July 22, 2026, on sale August 7, with a 7.6-inch inner display and Samsung’s “Flex Titanium” backing.
- iPhone Duo: announced September 9, 2026, shipping October 23 from $1,999, also with a 7.6-inch inner display.
- The claim: A reputed tipster said a slight crease from folding overnight vanished after about 10 minutes of being unfolded.
Why the physics is plausible, and where it stops
A foldable panel is a stack of glass, plastics, and adhesives. Creases come from a misaligned neutral layer, and that today’s optically clear adhesives are deliberately viscoelastic: they soften during slow bending to relieve fatigue and stiffen under sudden force.
Viscoelastic materials respond in two ways:
- Part of the strain is recoverable and fades after the load is removed, over minutes to hours
- Part is plastic and stays
The split fits Ice Universe’s findings: overnight crease fading in about 10 minutes. It also fits the opposite reports: some early Fold 8 owners say the crease looked worse after one to two weeks.
My take: Staying open can plausibly let the recoverable part relax, softening a crease you notice at breakfast. It cannot undo permanent deformation, and nobody has shown that it slows it.
What the hardware does and does not do
Samsung’s Flex Titanium backs the display with a titanium alloy film and plate, which it says reduces crease visibility and lets the phone run about 0.1 mm thinner.
Apple describes a roughly 10-layer inner display with a custom polymer nano-texture cover layer and adhesives that let layers slide to relieve bend stress.
| Feature | Galaxy Z Fold 8 | iPhone Duo |
|---|---|---|
| Inner display | 7.6 inch | 7.6 inch |
| Crease approach | Titanium alloy film and plate backing | Nano-texture polymer layer, sliding adhesives, carbon fiber plates |
| Hinge | Redesigned for easier opening | More than 100 components, 3D-printed cover |
| Published fold-test data | None found | None released by Apple |
| Reported problems | Crease more visible after 1 to 2 weeks, per social posts | Inner-display cracks on a small number of units, per Apple |
Neither design makes the crease vanish. Material scientists are chasing polymers that do not set a crease at all. A film in a May 2026 Advanced Materials study survived 500,000 folds at a 0.5 mm radius, but that is lab material, not a shipping phone.

The cost of leaving it open
An open 7.6-inch inner screen sits exposed to dust, pets, keys, and elbows for eight hours. An independent durability test of the Fold 8 found that the titanium layers do not protect the display’s plastic cover from scratches, that dust remains a major concern at an IP48 rating, and that sitting on an unfolded screen can cause damage.
The Duo adds its own caution. Apple says a small number of units have shown inner-display cracks shortly after purchase and tells owners to contact AppleCare. iFixit suspects the hinge, and nothing links the cracks to whether the phone was open or closed.
What would change our view is a controlled test that measures crease depth over several weeks, with and without overnight opening. Neither company has offered one.

Samsung Galaxy A58 5G charging specifications revealed through 3C listing
Samsung’s next mid-range smartphone is already making headlines months before its expected launch. The Galaxy A58 5G is likely to arrive in early 2027, and fresh information has now emerged about one of its key features. However, the latest development suggests that buyers should not expect a faster charging experience.
A Samsung smartphone identified by the model number SM-A5860 has reportedly cleared China’s 3C certification process. The listing points towards 45W wired charging support, using 10V/4.5A or 15V/3A output.
Another detail worth noting is that Samsung is likely to follow its charger-free packaging approach. Buyers may need to arrange a compatible charging adapter separately after purchasing the device.
The 45W charging support indicates that Samsung is keeping things familiar rather than introducing a new charging standard. The Galaxy A58 will reportedly match the charging speed of the Galaxy A57.

Aside from this, Samsung may focus on improving the overall experience through a brighter screen and a new Exynos 1780 chipset. It also include IP68 water and dust resistance, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Earlier reports suggest that Samsung is unlikely to make major changes to the camera department. The Galaxy A58 could come with a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro unit. A 12MP front camera is also expected. This setup would be largely identical to the Galaxy A57.
The smartphone is expected to make its debut in early 2027. Stay tuned for more information.
