Samsung will showcase its latest gaming products at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 30. Gamescom is one of the biggest gaming events in the world.

Samsung will create a large gaming area covering 1,090 square meters. The main theme will be “#PlaySamsung.” Visitors will get a chance to try different Samsung products, including gaming monitors, smartphones, TVs, SSDs and gaming headsets.

The exhibition will have four main sections: the Odyssey Zone, Galaxy Zone, Gaming Hub Zone and T1 Zone.

The Odyssey Zone will focus on Samsung’s gaming monitors. The company will display the Odyssey G8 6K gaming monitor, the Odyssey OLED G8 with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, and the Odyssey 3D monitor, which lets users enjoy 3D games without special glasses. Visitors can play popular games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Crimson Desert and Cyberpunk 2077.

Samsung will also show its 9100 Pro SSD and JBL gaming headsets. These products are designed to provide faster performance and better sound for gamers.

The Galaxy Zone will focus on mobile gaming. Visitors can try the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung will also display Galaxy Buds4 Pro and new portable SSDs. Its Neural Frame Fusion technology is designed to make games smoother while using less power.

The Gaming Hub Zone will show how users can play cloud games on compatible Samsung TVs and monitors without connecting a separate gaming console. The T1 Zone will be presented with esports team T1. Visitors can experience gaming equipment used by famous League of Legends player Faker.

Samsung will also bring Korean PC cafe culture to the event through gaming matches, influencer activities, Korean snacks and fun challenges. On August 27, Samsung will reveal its new 2027 Odyssey gaming monitors and portable SSD products.

Galaxy S26 series and foldable phones are making Samsung’s camera suppliers happy. Strong demand for Samsung’s premium devices is deriving tremendous profits for component suppliers, first-half data suggests.

According to the info (via ZDNet), six major camera module suppliers serving Samsung Galaxy devices recorded combined sales of $1.8 billion during the first half of 2026, up 6 percent from the same period last year.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics’ camera module business generated 2.11 trillion won in revenue and 121.6 billion won in operating profit, pushing its margin to 5.8 percent, compared with 3.9 percent a year earlier.

The improvement is not limited to Samsung’s traditional flagship phones. Foldable devices are also becoming increasingly important for component suppliers as Samsung expands its foldable portfolio and shipments.

Cammsys returned to profitability in the first half, with its improved results linked to a greater share of flagship and foldable camera module orders. Power Logics also swung further into the black, supported by a 28 percent increase in revenue.

The results highlight an important difference across Samsung’s camera supply chain.

Suppliers focused more heavily on premium Galaxy S and foldable models generally benefit from better margins, while those dependent on Galaxy A-series volumes face greater profitability pressure.

With the Galaxy S26 series now entering the market alongside Samsung’s latest foldables, camera module suppliers could see another boost in the second half of 2026.

A fresh leak has revealed the alleged specifications of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and the numbers suggest that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra flagship could have serious performance headroom.

Earlier leaks have suggested that the Ultra and potentially the Galaxy S27 Pro could use Qualcomm’s Extreme chip, while other models may receive the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 or Exynos 2700, depending on the market.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is a performance powerhouse

According to Weibo leaker DCS, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, carrying the SM8975 model number, could use TSMC’s N2P process.

The chip is said to feature a new 2+3+3 Oryon CPU arrangement, with two prime cores reaching 5.01GHz. The remaining three-core clusters are reportedly clocked at 4.03GHz and 3.74GHz, respectively.

If these figures make it into the final silicon, Qualcomm would be pushing smartphone CPU frequencies into territory rarely seen on mass-market mobile chips.

The processor is also expected to feature Qualcomm’s Adreno 850 GPU, which could bring a significant boost to gaming and graphics-intensive workloads.

A separate benchmark leak has already surfaced for the SM8975, although the early numbers reportedly do not fully reflect the chip’s potential, possibly because of power limitations during testing.

That said, a 2nm-class process, 5GHz-plus CPU cores and a new-generation Adreno GPU make the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 an intriguing candidate for Samsung’s next performance-focused flagship.

Two Snapdragon chips are officially coming

Qualcomm has already teased two new Snapdragon 8 Elite processors for its upcoming Snapdragon Summit, scheduled for September 22-24.

The US chip designer has highlighted improvements to graphics, connectivity and camera capabilities, but has not yet revealed the processors’ specifications.

NVIDIA is giving Samsung another reason to be optimistic about its foundry business as the chipmaker moves its Groq 3 LPX inference accelerator into full production.

The development could eventually translate into higher orders for Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics as demand for AI inference hardware continues to expand.

NVIDIA says the Groq 3 LPX is designed for the rapidly growing agentic AI market, where AI systems need to generate responses and process tokens at high speed. The accelerator forms part of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, which is being built to handle large-scale AI workloads.

Samsung already has a direct role in this supply chain. Samsung Foundry manufactures the Groq 3 LPU on its 4nm process, while Samsung Electro-Mechanics supplies advanced FC-BGA substrates for the processor.

Samsung has also publicly highlighted the Groq 3 LPU wafer produced by its foundry at GTC 2026, underlining the growing relationship with NVIDIA, as per MoneyToday.

The timing is particularly important for Samsung Foundry.

Samsung Foundry’s 4nm capacity is reportedly already heavily booked, with Groq 3 LPX contributing to demand alongside Samsung’s own HBM4 production. Industry reports have also pointed to improving yields and expectations for larger Groq shipments.

NVIDIA’s latest production ramp therefore gives Samsung a potential path to even more AI chip business. If Groq-based inference hardware scales as NVIDIA expects, Samsung could benefit not only from higher wafer volumes but also from future generations of LPUs.

Samsung is bringing its evolving design vision to South Korea with a special exhibition at Design Miami Seoul 2026. The exhibition will take place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul from September 1 to 6.

The showcase follows the theme “Design Is an Act of Love,” which Samsung has been exploring as part of its broader shift toward more human-centered and expressive design. Inspired by the idea that “Design Is an Act of Love,” 14 Korean artists created original artworks, each expressing the theme through the artistic reinterpretation of a specific Samsung product.

For the Seoul exhibition, 14 Korean artists have created original works inspired by individual Samsung products. AI will bring these artworks to life on Samsung’s OLED TV S95H, while custom frames will form part of each artistic presentation.

Each artwork is then brought to life with AI and presented on the OLED TV S95H, with a custom frame that becomes part of the artwork itself.

The exhibition offers a closer look at how Samsung sees technology, art, and personal expression coming together through design.
