Samsung Galaxy A36 arriving in the US with Snapdragon chip, Android 15
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A36 5G in the US. While all eyes are on the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung’s mid-range A36 5G benchmarked on Geekbench, confirming its potential debut in the United States this year.
As spotted by MySmartPrice, the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G US variant benchmarked on Geekbench. The listing confirms the phone’s processor and software. The performance scores are also decent for the mid-range price point.
Samsung’s SM-A366U was spotted on the benchmark platform with an octa-core SoC, 6Gb RAM, and Android 15. The phone will indeed feature Qualcomm’s chip, probably, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 for Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
Samsung is set to introduce new Galaxy A series, M series, and F series smartphones in the global markets. Today, our team at MySmartPrice has spotted the US variant of the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G on the Geekbench listing.
The device scored 967 points in single-core and 2,750 points in multi-core tests. The chipset powering the phone is an octa-core (parrot motherboard and walt governor) SoC with four cores at 2.40GHz and four at 1.80GHz.
In addition, the SoC features an Adreno 710 GPU, with all inputs pointing at the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. This Qualcomm mobile platform comes with four Cortex A78 cores at 2.40GHz and four Cortex A55 ones at 1.80GHz.
Samsung is currently busy preparing for the Unpacked scheduled for the end of January. The Galaxy A36 may launch alongside the Galaxy A56 sometime in March 2025, while the latter is unlikely to be sold in the USA.
