New Always On Display update hitting Samsung’s One UI 7 devices

Samsung has rolled out a new update for its Always On Display (AOD) app with version 8.9.00.67. The update is available for Galaxy phones running One UI 7.
This latest update comes with a few useful improvements and bug fixes to make the AOD experience smoother and more reliable. The update might include a fix for the positioning issue of the clock on AOD.
After the One UI 7 update, some users noticed a bug where the clock on the AOD screen appeared in the wrong place when using certain ClockFace styles. This problem caused the clock to look shifted or misaligned. Samsung acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the new AOD update is designed to fix it.
The update includes enhancements that improve the overall performance and stability of the Always On Display. If you’re using a Galaxy phone with One UI 7, it’s recommended to install this update to ensure your AOD works correctly and looks the way it should.
To get the update, just open the Galaxy Store, tap on the Menu, and go to the Updates section to check and install the Samsung Always On Display 8.9.00.67 update. Also, you can download the update via third third-party app link mentioned here.
One UI 8 AOD to Lock Screen Leaked Animation
There’s also some exciting news for Galaxy users looking forward to One UI 8. A recent leaked video shows a new animation when switching from the Always On Display to the Lock Screen.
In the new animation, the clock starts at its usual size on the AOD screen. Then, when you move to the Lock Screen, the clock smoothly expands a little and moves down. It looks much cleaner and gives an amazing touch to the phone’s overall feel.

Samsung makes Voice Recorder more practical in One UI 8, retains One UI 7’s AI tricks

Samsung appears to be fueling the Voice Recorder app with Galaxy AI features in One UI 8. The company is now swiftly expanding the One UI 7 update as attention of flagship users is now being shifted towards the One UI 8.
One UI 8 is coming earlier than previous One UI versions. Samsung has advanced the launch of its Android 16-based One UI skin given Google’s shuffle. The public Beta Program is expected to start later this month or early next month.
Samsung is internally testing One UI 8 on the most recent Galaxy phones. Some power users also have access to the pre-release software. It was spotted that the Voice Recorder has recently been updated on One UI 8 with AI features.
AI features like Transcribe, Summarize, and Translate are still available. Now, you need to hit the Galaxy AI button on the app’s header to expand the pop-up menu.
Audio Eraser, which was added in Gallery with One UI 7, seems to be expanding to Voice Recorder. Using this AI-powered tool, you will be able to fix noise and unwanted sounds from recordings.
However, Audio Eraser is not available in Voice Recorder on One UI 7 devices. Samsung might debut this feature as a new addition with the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 with One UI 8 this July.

Voice Recorder app is primarily meant for quicker voice recording functionality. While One UI 7 version highlights AI features, the One UI 8 adds a new Galaxy AI button on the header, which now contains supported AI tools.
This change brings a significant boost to the Voice Recorder app’s appearance. The application now offers a neat view for voice recording and playback. The integrated AI features now rest in an expandable tab with the Galaxy AI button.
It’s a pre-release version that could also be tweaked before rollout. It targets devices running the One UI 8 operating system, but it’s also functional on One UI 7 devices with sideload.
