Google Calendar for Wear OS now available on the Play Store
Google has launched a Calendar app for Wear OS users, which allows them to access their events and tasks on their smartwatches. The app is now available to download on the Play Store. The app is compatible with Wear OS 3.5 and above.
Calendar is different from the existing Agenda app on Wear OS, which shows a list of upcoming events. On the other hand, it shows a schedule view of the events, similar to the one on phones.
Users can tap on an event to see more details, such as location, notes, notifications, and attendance status. They can also open the event on their phone or delete it from their watch.
The app also supports Google Tasks integration, which means users can see their tasks along with their events and mark them as completed. The app also shows background images for recognized events, such as holidays and birthdays.
In addition to the app, Google Calendar also adds two new Tiles for Wear OS – Next event and Next tasks. These Tiles show a quick glance of the next event or task on the watch face. Users can also access the full app by tapping on More.

WhatsApp bringing new feature to easily transfer community ownership
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for Android users, which brings the long-awaited transfer ownership feature to the community. This feature allows community owners to easily transfer their leadership role to another member.
Previously, if a WhatsApp community owner wanted to transfer ownership, they had to create a new community and ask everyone to join it. This was a long process and could lead to losing members and causing confusion.
Now, the new transfer ownership feature of WhatsApp resolves this issue by making it simple to pass on the leadership without any major disruptions and following a too-long process.
This feature appears in the community settings and makes it simple for current owners to transfer their leadership duties. Once the transfer is complete, the original owner will still be an admin but will lose the top decision-making capabilities.
They can continue to help manage and moderate the community, but won’t be able to make major changes like disabling the community or removing other admins.
The Transfer community ownership feature is currently available to some beta testers who have installed the WhatsApp beta version 2.24.19.34 from the Google Play Store. The company plans to roll it out to more users over the next few weeks.
