4 things we observed from Galaxy S25 FE CAD renders

Published

on

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE One UI 7

Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S25 FE, and its CAD renders have revealed four optimizations that aim to improve the user experience. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the details.

Bezels

The first thing on the phone is the front design, which locks the view on the screen bezels. The CAD design shows that the Galaxy S25 FE is likely to maximize the display view compared to the Galaxy S24 FE. This will enhance the phone’s appearance and give it an elegant look.

Display size

The upcoming FE device will be getting a 6.7-inch Dynamic OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate with FHD+ resolution. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The center hole-punch is also rendered slightly smaller on the outline compared to the S24 FE.

Thickness

The sides are the same as the predecessor, but the aluminum frame looks better in the renders, and the structure looks slimmer. However, we can’t just jump to a conclusion, since the actual thickness remains unknown at this point of time.

Camera Design

The camera is aligned in a linear layout like the predecessor, but the camera crown has been trimmed, creating a larger and sharper appearance.

A previous report suggests that the phone will equip a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide angle, and an 8MP telephoto camera with a 3 times zoom range. The front side will have a 12MP selfie camera.

Specifications

The Galaxy S25 FE reportedly packs a 4,700mAh battery, which we were expecting to increase to at least 5,000mAh. Also, it will feature the Exynos 2400e chipset, another specification that the company wants to reiterate from the previous model.

This upcoming phone will run One UI 8 out of the box, which could be a major advantage over the main S25 series lineup with one extra generation of OS upgrade.

Samsung usually launches an FE smartphone in the third or fourth quarter of the year. However, an official statement about this phone is yet to come.

Galaxy Z Fold 7: These 5 specs are now confirmed

Published

on

Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-fold

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated as the biggest design improvement among all Samsung foldable, and it will be one of the slimmest devices released in the segment. On the face of growing competition and increasing footprint, the phone maker wants to continue its advancements, and Fold 7 could become a major milestone in this quest for supremacy.

Report suggests that Samsung could unveil Galaxy Z Fold 7 at Unpacked next month, and we’ve compiled a list of specs that are already confirmed.

Chipset

This new foldable will use Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, confirmed by its Geekbench visits. The flagship chip was also used for Galaxy S25 series including the S25 Edge to provide performance. Importantly, this chipset has improved AI processing capabilities to run generative AI features from the courtesy of Galaxy AI.

The company is likely to continue the 12GB RAM option, but we cannot deny the 16GB version for limited markets.

Design

This segment will be the key focus at the launch event, and the phone will be thinner than the Fold 6. Renders and leaked specifications suggest that the Fold 7 will be 3.9mm thin when unfolded, compared to the 5.6mm thickness of the predecessor.

The size is also going to be bigger as the entire phone is expected to be 158.4mm wide and 143.1mm tall. These dimensions show an increase in overall size from 153.5mm and 132.6mm for height and width, respectively, in Fold 6. Despite the size increase, the phone will be relatively lighter than before, but the actual weight is unknown.

Display

The size increase will allow Samsung to fit a larger cover and internal screen. That said, the cover is expected to be 6.5-inch OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. The inner panel could expand between 8 to 8.2-inches (tentatively) upgrading from 7.6 inches in the previous version.

Camera

One of the major upgrades in Galaxy Z Fold 7 specs will be the main camera, consisting of a 200MP sensor, an upgrade from 50MP in the Fold 6. Though users may not use the full resolution all the time but improved pixel quality will provide sharper and brighter images. The ultra-wide and telephoto cameras could remain unchanged.

Battery

This is going to be a bummer, but early insights about the device suggest the Fold 7 won’t be getting a new battery; instead, it will stick to a 4400mAh pack. However, users are speculating at least 5000mAh, which is going to be a tough guess.

Software

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will run One UI 8 (Android 16) out of the box. This year will be the first time when foldables will lead in getting the latest operating system before S-series devices. Also, it will offer 7 generations of OS upgrades and 7 years of security update support.

Conclusion

These are five key specs of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, but Samsung may have more surprises ready for us at the Unpacked event.

Samsung One UI 8 pug wallpaper

One UI 8 has rebranded the phone’s personalization section, and Samsung has adopted a pug wallpaper for users to provide a refreshed experience.

Samsung phones, like any other smartphone, come with system wallpapers and themes. One UI 7 has made a major change in organizing these wallpapers and simplifying the selection by combining similar stock wallpapers.

This update also introduced a featured wallpaper that demonstrates the new frame system. Allowing users to apply a frame over a selected photograph to make a new home and lock screen wallpaper.

The initial installment of this frame wallpaper demonstration featured a Jack Russell Terrier with blue sunglasses and a towel to create a cool and funky vibe.

One UI 8 continues on the foundation of the previous generation of operating system, but replaces Jack with Pug. This version of the wallpaper also has the same funky feeling, and it looks good on the phone’s screen.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 leak reveals all we need to know about its upgrades

Published

Samsung galaxy Z Flip 6

Samsung has a new flip phone – Galaxy Z Flip 7, launching at next month’s Unpacked, and a major leak has busted the phone maker’s plan to keep it secret before anyone could see it on the grand stage.

AndroidHeadlines has shared these leaked press renders and provided the first unofficial look at the Z Flip 7, including its new cover display. The phone features a square cover screen on the top side. Compared to the new approach, the previous model only had the cover display touching the camera setup.

However, the Z Flip 7 will only leave spaces for the cameras through openings, and you will see the screen touching all four sides and corners.

With an increased size, the cover display could be used for more tasks than the limited constrained Z Flip 6 and predecessors.

On top of that, Samsung could ship extra perks for the Flip device with the new One UI 8 that could make the most out of its improved visibility.

The concept of installing a cover screen on a flip device is to allow the user to operate the device without relying on the foldable screen. It seems Samsung has finally made the Z Flip series stable enough that the users won’t no longer need to think about its unfolding mechanism.

Except for the cover screen, the Z Flip 7 has no special design traits to explore. However, the phone’s width looks optimized, and we can pay extra attention to this specific segment when the phone officially launches.

Leak unfolds Galaxy Z Fold 7 before Unpacked event

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will launch at Unpacked next month, but a major leak has already unveiled its design specifications before its official introduction.

Press renders shared by Android Headlines for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 have revealed the first full look at the device, focusing on its slim design and large screens. The two colors in the renders are Blue Shadow and Jet Balck, but the material is not confirmed.

The first look at the composition highlights the slim appearance from front to rear. Look at the image below and the two halves of the phone, and the width of the hinge mechanism is shrunk to maintain the reduced volume.

The cover has a full-view display, and it’s wider than Fold 6, like a regular flat-screen smartphone. The display inside is also edge-to-edge and has a center hole punch on the right side.

The rear has minor changes, while the camera design has linear composition, but the side view confirms that the phone will have a large camera bump. It’s like almost half of the entire device’s thickness. This camera bump rise could be due to the new 200MP camera sensor, which has a thick module. The Fold 6 only featured a 50MP camera.

Samsung will pack the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for performance. The improved on-device computing will power the Galaxy AI features. It will be the first device to run Android 16 (One UI 8) out of the box, alongside a bunch of software improvements for a better user experience.

According to the recent report, the company is planning to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at the Unpacked event on July 9, 2025.
