Nothing OS 2.0 coming to Phone 1 soon, live for Phone 2: Here’s the features list
Nothing started rolling out Nothing OS 2.0.2 update to Phone 2 users. The company says that it focused on making more mindful interactions with the newly released smartphone. In addition, it has been announced that Nothing OS 2.0 is coming to the Phone 1 before the end of August.
As announced by the OEM, Nothing OS 2.0 is designed to make interactions with your device more mindful. The company is constantly working behind the scenes to make the experience as smooth and efficient as possible on its tiny range of smartphones.
“So Nothing OS 2.0.2 is ready. This is just for Phone (2) users right now, but we will be launching the latest version of Nothing OS 2.0 for Phone (1) before the end of August,” Nothing confirmed on X.

Samsung Galaxy S24 grabs ‘crucial’ October 2024 update in the US
Samsung Galaxy S24 series has started receiving the October 2024 security update in the US. AT&T has rolled out the latest patch for its carrier-branded S24 devices. This crucial firmware update aims to improve system security and stability.
Earlier today, Samsung published the October 2024 security patch details. The company highlighted how significant the October patch is for Galaxies. Shortly after, the company’s high-end flagships grabbed the latest patches.
October 2024 SMR update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series includes fixes for 2 critical and 28 high-level CVEs. Additionally, the update addresses 12 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items for further improvements.
CVE-2024-44068
Samsung’s changelog mentions only the inclusion of the October patch. Meanwhile, the company highlighted on its security page that it addresses CVE-2024-44068 from the Samsung Semiconductor Division.
The common vulnerability exposure is rated as HIGH leveled flaw, with the description reading “A Use-After-Free in the mobile processor leads to privilege escalation.” The affected chipsets are Exynos 9820, 9825, 980, 990, 850, W920.
How to install:
Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra users can easily install the October patch. Head towards Settings, followed by Software update and Download and install. Ensure connectivity to an unmetered connection for seamless installation.
One UI 7 Beta
Samsung confirmed One UI 7 Beta will launch by the end of this year. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be invited in the first phase of the rollout. The Beta will also be available for general consumers apart from the Developers’ community.
The final version will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked next year.

Samsung has released a new update for the One UI Home app with version 15.5.05.17. This update brings improvements to enhance your experience on Galaxy devices.
