Nothing OS 1.5.5 brings RAM Expansion feature to Phone 1
Nothing Phone 1 started getting Nothing OS 1.5.5 as part of the June 2023 software update. The new incremental version installs the RAM Expansion feature inspired by Samsung’s RAM Plus. In addition, there are a handful of bug fixes related to Face Unlock and Bluetooth power consumption.
Nothing OS 1.5.5 changelog reveals that the Phone 1 is getting improvements to the performance of Face Unlock. It will help the function to improve recognition accuracy in dark environments. Besides, it reduces Bluetooth power consumption when the device is on standby at night time.
The flashy phone maker says (via RPRNA) that the Nothing OS’ RAM Expansion feature will now allow the number of apps to remain open in the background to increase performance by 10%. In Samsung phones, users found that RAM Plus is just a software thing, it doesn’t make any practical impact.

Samsung has begun releasing the December 2024 security update for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones. The update is currently rolling out in the update in Korea and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
December 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones can be verified through One UI build version F956NKSS2AXKC and F741NKSS2AXKC respectively. Users will have to download a 380MB package to install the update.
This fresh update is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 update. Users of these phones are waiting for the One UI 7 Beta update to try new features and improvements ahead of the official release.
December 2024 security patch addresses over 45 vulnerabilities, including both Google and Samsung-specific issues to enhance device security.
This update incorporates 6 critical and 28 high-level fixes from Google. Additionally, one previously resolved issue has been readdressed, and another is not relevant to Samsung devices.
On the Samsung side, 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products have been patched. The update also includes 8 fixes listed under Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE), focusing on the Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth functionality, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode.
To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features.
We are in December 2024 and Samsung has started releasing the second November 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24 series. The update is currently available for users in Europe and may expand to more countries soon.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are getting a second November 2024 security update via the One UI build version S921BXXU4AXK4, S926BXXU4AXK4, and S928BXXU4AXK4 respectively.

Samsung moves closer to One UI 7 Beta release for Galaxy S24
Samsung is rolling out the November 2024 security update for the Galaxy Watch 7 in Europe, after Korea. This update is important as it’s the first security patch for the watch since it was released in July.
Before this, the Galaxy Watch 7 had been criticized for not getting updates on time, with some models still using security patches from months before the watch was even launched.
November 2024 security update is available for Galaxy Watch 7 Bluetooth models (SM-L300, SM-L310) in Europe with firmware version ending with XXU1AXK6. However, not all models are getting the update just yet.
The update is currently not available for the 4G versions of the Galaxy Watch 7 (SM-L305F, SM-L315F) or the Galaxy Watch Ultra (SM-L705F). Samsung is expected to release the update for these models soon.
The fresh update improves the watch’s stability and reliability. The most essential part is that it adds the latest security patch for November 2024 as it makes the device more secure.
Users will have to install a 245 MB software package to install the update. You can also check for the update manually by connecting the watch to your phone, opening the Wearable app then, going to the Watch 7 settings in the app and selecting Update watch software.
