Stable One UI 7 is about to hit Global Galaxy S23 models

Samsung’s Stable One UI 7 update is available for Korean Galaxy S23 series users, and it will soon be headed to Global models.
Last month, Samsung opened the One UI 7 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series in Germany, India, South Korea, and the US. The company has rolled out two major Beta updates before bringing the Stable build to Korean Beta participants.
This follows a careful testing phase to ensure a smooth experience. Samsung’s cautious approach with the Galaxy S23 series should ensure a stable experience.
After the serious bug reported in Galaxy S24’s Stable One UI 7 update, Samsung is playing it safe with the Galaxy S23 series. The initial rollout has only begun for Korean Beta participants, opening the path for Global models ahead.
Global Galaxy S23 users should see the Stable One UI 7 update in the coming days or weeks, likely in May 2025. The rollout will depend on regions and carriers (and might be delayed, too), so keep checking for updates.
One UI 7 introduces a refreshed design, improved Galaxy AI features, and a new battery icon. These changes aim to make your Galaxy S23 feel faster and easier to use.
Now Bar displays real-time updates, like workout stats, music playback, or sports scores, without needing to unlock your phone. A quick swipe shows what’s happening, making your S23 more intuitive during activities like running.

Animations trigger instantly on touch, with faster response rates. The camera app gets a minimalist redesign, and separate quick settings and notification panels simplify navigation, making your S23 feel snappier.
We recommend disabling lock screen security before updating to avoid potential issues, based on past experiences. Earlier, a serious lock screen bug paused that release, prompting Samsung to take extra care with the S23 series.

One UI 8 revamps Samsung Weather with striking new design and animations over One UI 7 [Gallery]

One UI 8 seems to be bringing striking new design and animation tweaks to the Samsung Weather app. After leaked firmware for the top flagships, the Samsung Weather app from One UI 8 has been revealed for Galaxy devices.
Samsung Weather is getting massive design upgrades in the One UI 8 version. The app will get a dynamic background, improved characters, and overall visibility. Samsung has also significantly improved the visuals and animations.
One UI 7’s Weather app has a gradient background, which changes itself as per the weather conditions. One UI 8 takes it a step further by adding a more realistic character and wallpaper-like background to match the weather status.
If the atmosphere is cold, the background will adopt a design accordingly, and the character will also act like that.

In summer, the Sun will be displayed on the background, and the character will have a similar casual outfit, troubled by sweat.

In the rainy season, the raindrops appear even more real, and the character has also got some design upgrades, making it more natural.

One UI 7 Update
After months of Beta testing, Samsung has finally started the One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy devices. The first official firmware was dropped in early April, which started to expand to older devices in the fourth week of the month.
Samsung will take three months to complete the One UI 7 rollout. April is dedicated to the 2024 flagship models, while May is for the remaining flagship phones, foldables, and tablets. June will welcome the update for all the Galaxy devices.
One UI 8 Leaks
Samsung is internally testing Android 16 on the recent flagship devices. The company has first uploaded the One UI 8 firmware on its Remote Test Lab website. Later, the official firmware was revealed and installed by power users.
One UI 8 is all about refining the changes and features added in One UI 7. At present, the update doesn’t seem to be bringing any exciting upgrades to the Galaxy S25 series, but expanding its features, such as Now Brief, to the older models.

Samsung wraps up Galaxy S23’s One UI 7 beta program

Samsung has confirmed the final milestone in the Galaxy S23’s One UI 7 beta program and launched a stable software for the three devices in this flagship series.
The program was kicked off in mid-March for S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra owners through the Samsung members app, and it expanded throughout the globe for limited users.
This update is part of Samsung’s growing efforts to improve the user experience with UI upgrades and graphical optimizations. The beta program enables users to test the latest features before public release.
Still, the Galaxy S23’s One UI 7 beta program wrapped up earlier compared to the S24 series. It also means that the update will be available for public users this month, and an expansion is planned throughout May 2025.
Beta program?
Meanwhile, South Korean S23 users gets the first slot to close the beta program and mark the start of an official One UI 7 rollout. Following this conclusion, Samsung will no longer publish new beta software versions or no formal replies to testers’ comments. Furthermore, the beta section for the Galaxy S23 within the Samsung Members app devices is now disabled.
After upgrading to the official version, Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra beta testers won’t be seeing the beta feedback conversations. If you are one of the beta participants, it’s recommended for you to check for the latest software update via Settings > Software update and follow the on-screen instructions to check the latest OS upgrade via over the air (OTA) software update.
On the other hand, non-beta users will receive a full software update, but an expansion will happen through the above mentioned timelines.

Surprise: Samsung Galaxy S24 FE gets official One UI 7

Samsung is sending the official One UI 7 software update for the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone, becoming the first device to receive an official OTA release without a beta program.
The software update package confirmed that it is a full release with more than 5Gb of downloadable package size and currently available in Korea. This is relevant for global users who don’t need to worry about a beta program. Instead, this update will fall right into your device as a stable release.
For those who are wondering about wide adaptation, you may have to wait a little longer as the expansion might take a few days or a week for overseas markets. This is due to the testing and verification for different models sold for global customers. However, we won’t be surprised if this update starts to appear in non-Korean handsets starting today.

One UI 7 comes with a new look for your Galaxy S24 FE, including a visually appealing user interface, smooth animations for maximized interactions and improved fluency all over the system.
To be mentioned, Samsung has added the Galaxy S24 FE as part of the One UI 7 rollout roadmap for April in many countries. So, there’s a chance that the software will get a fast expansion in advertised regions.
Samsung began One UI 7 test with the Galaxy S24 series in December last year without S24 FE. After months of testing, the Korean tech company released an official One UI 7 version in early April. However, this rollout was met with an obstacle including issues and bugs that led to a temporary pause, which resumed within a few days after making some required changes in the official firmware.
Meanwhile, this official One UI 7 version will generate some excitement among S24 FE users, who have been waiting for an upgrade for months.

Samsung has kicked off the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Tab S10 series in Korea. The update follows the One UI 7 deployment for Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S24 FE users in the same region, which began earlier today.
The One UI 7 update, built on Android 15, has already been released for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6, with Korean users among the first to experience the new features.
