More Samsung Galaxy S22 users getting April 2023 security update
Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones are receiving a new update with April 2023 security patch in Latin American countries including Argentina and Panama.
Users of the Galaxy S22 series can identify the new update with the One UI build version S90xEXXU4CWCE in Latin America. The update brings a new feature, stability optimization, bug fixes, and enhanced security to provide an amazing Galaxy experience.
Apart from this, the Image clipper feature of Galaxy S23 has also been added to Samsung Galaxy S22 through April 2023 update. Now, you can extract a part of the image with a transparent background, and use it as you wish.
Samsung April 2023 security Patch
According to the official details, Samsung fixes a number of CVEs along with flaws related to One UI’s Smart Suggestions function and Exynos modem (which was earlier discovered by Google’s Project Zero team).
April patch includes fixes for SVE-2022-3004 (CVE-2023-21473), SVE-2022-3001 (CVE-2023-21472) and SVE-2022-2755 (CVE-2023-21467). These vulnerabilities may have affected your device, letting a physical attacker execute arbitrary code in the bootloader.

It is worth mentioning that the update is already available in Europe and the US. To install the update on your devices, open Settings, press on the Software Update option, and then click on the Download and install option. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest update.

In Week II, the rollout of the May 2024 security update started in the US with the Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. Samsung has since extended the availability of this update to more markets and is planning to release it for more devices shortly.
It is important to note that Samsung has also revealed that the May 2024 security patch addresses 45 security vulnerabilities, with Google providing fixes for 33 of these. The vulnerabilities include 33 ‘Critical’ and 26 ‘High’ levels of CVEs. It also provides s 25 SVE items.
Furthermore, Samsung has resumed the rollout of the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22 series in Korea and has also made this update available in other countries. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and Tab S8 series have already received the One UI 6.1 update in the US and Europe.
Samsung is also reportedly planning to roll out the One UI 6.1 update to nine more Galaxy devices in Canada, with the update scheduled for May 14. This major update will enhance the security, stability, and reliability.
The devices set to receive this update include the Galaxy A54 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy S21 FE 5G, Galaxy S21 FE 2022, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series are receiving the May 2024 security in Verizon and T-Mobile networks in the US via One UI build ending with AXD3. The update is currently available for locked models of this series.
