Samsung is shipping the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphones with lots of new goodies and improvements. Additionally, it installs the November 2022 Android security patch that addresses multiple privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities.
The One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 OS is currently releasing for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 customers living in Europe and should soon reach other users all over the world. This firmware bears the One UI build version F916BXXU2IVK3.

Galaxy Z Fold 2:
In the year 2020, Samsung launched its second generation foldable smartphone known as Galaxy Z Fold 2 which was driving the Android 10 operating system out of the box. The device is eligible for three major Android upgrades due to which it’s getting the Android 13 upgrade now.
However, Android 13 is the last major OS for the device. Now it is only likely to get the One UI 5.1 (also based on Android 13) in mid-2023 and security patches for a year.
One UI 5.0 features:
The major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update comes with lots of new features for your Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone. Some most notable are 16 Color Palelles, Camera Watermark, Stack Widgets, the ability to disable RAM Plus, powerful search on the Notes app, and more.
It further adds three new Settings menus: Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and Privacy as well as four new accessibility toggles in the Quick settings panel. The update also brings significant user interface changes, a new mini Call pop-up, bigger notification app icons, smoother animations, and others.
While considering the customization, the Lock Screen has many new functions that will let it edit every element of the screen, even directly from the lock screen. Whereas, the Good Lock app offers three new modules for additional personalization options.

To the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update on your Galaxy Z Fold 2, visit its “Settings” and head over to the “Software update” menu. Tap the “Download and install” option and wait for a few minutes. Tap on the “Download” option and follow the on-screen instructions.
Samsung One UI 5.1 release date and eligible devices
Today, Samsung is unveiling the new Galaxy S flagship lineup, One UI software, and Galaxy Book. Over the One UI 5.0, the new software iteration brings refinements and system improvements. Well, are you wondering about the release date and eligible devices of the One UI 5.1?

T-Mobile releases Android 13 One UI 5.0 update for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in the US
Carrier-unlocked models of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G smartphone at T-Mobile are now getting the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 software update in the US. Whereas, the US carrier-unlocked devices and internal variants have already grabbed it in late 2022.
Samsung is releasing this update with One UI build version G781U1UEU9FWA7. It installs plenty of new features alongside a lot of new improvements, customization capabilities, and a revamped user interface.
The Quick settings panel, Notification Panel, Recent menu, Home screen, Lock screen, and other compartments are getting various notable tweaks. Whereas, the app icons are now bolder and look great compared to the older ones.
As far as the new features are concerned, the Galaxy S20 FE Android 13 update brings 16 Color Palette options, Stack widgets, Notification Permission, Lockdown mode, Maintenance mode, Per-app languages, a new Smart Suggestion widget, a Smart Text extraction feature, new swipe features for easier multitasking, and much more.

One UI 5.1 would bring these new camera features to your Samsung Galaxy
One UI 5.1 is the next version of Samsung’s custom skin, which is going to release with the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Obviously, the new update brings new features and improvements to older features. It is expected that Samsung will release new camera features with the One UI 5.1 update.
