Samsung has released a new update for its Good Lock module One Hand Operation+ with version 5.3.31. The latest update comes with new features and improvements but most importantly, with this app update, the company has confirmed that the One UI 4.1.1 update is based on Android 12L.

According to the changelog, the newest update for One Hand Operation+ brings Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 support. Along with this, the latest update has added the Widgets pop-up feature to Galaxy devices.

The One Hand Operation+ 5.3.31 update arrives with an installation package size of 4.79 MB. It is so small that you can use your personal data to install it. You can manually install the update from the Galaxy Store.

However, there’s a significant change. Unlike the One UI 4.0 and One UI 4.1 which are based on Android 12 OS, the One UI 4.1.1 will be based on Android 12L. Android 12L is a special version of Android 12 that is customized for foldables and tablets.

Samsung Fold Android 12L

So the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will run Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 out of the box. The new custom OS will obviously bring new features and changes. Also, we’ll see some major changes that Google has made on Android 12L.

These changes could include a new two-column interface for the notification shade, a new taskbar UI for improved multitasking, improved scaling for apps that are not optimized for large-screen devices, and others.

It’s reported that Samsung will introduce the next-gen Galaxy Z foldable devices sometime in August 2022. Similar to the last year, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 will come with a new iteration of the One UI software system, which could be the One UI 4.1.1, based on Android 12.

In 2021, the South Korean tech giant delivered the new Android 11-based One UI 3.1.1 software to older foldable devices. Meanwhile, it was also noted that select Galaxy Note, S, and A series devices have also received the One UI 3.1.1 features, while the version number remained to One UI 3.1.
