Samsung, Ibbu are insisting on reps to perform unpaid customer service tasks
When Samsung Galaxy S22 launched earlier this year, the opening pre-orders for Samsung phones on Samsung.com, the site became a factory of confusion with customers, in many cases failing to fulfill orders.
Many of those consumers may have contacted a Samsung web representative using an online chat tool. The individuals who work on these chats work on a platform that facilitates web chat portals such as Samsung and Ibbu.
However, these workers are hired to do one thing – sell the product. Of course, they will only be paid for when the customer they are communicating with purchases.
Apparently, as the site deteriorated, many of those agents became customer support representatives, not sales representatives. However, they will not be paid by that time because they are not selling.
According to a recent research report from The Verge, this is an ongoing and growing problem. Samsung and Ibbu are laying off employees who are there to do unpaid customer support work just to earn sales commissions.
The report states that Samsung is sending all requests to I to comment on the situation, especially trying to pass the gassing. Technically, the people who work with Ibbu are not independent contractors and Samsung employees, so Samsung is trying to stay out of the situation.
Users who still have any suspense or doubt you read the full context that Samsung and Ibu are essentially abusing the time of unpaid workers.

Samsung to shake up Chip Division staff after public apology
At the earnings forecast, Samsung issued a public apology for disappointing performance. Now, a report suggests that Samsung could shake up the working staff of its Chip Division to foster competitiveness and growth.
Per KoreaTimes, Samsung may soon reshuffle its Chip Division operations. The company’s DS Division is on the radar of top executives, which oversees chip business. Samsung’s position is in danger as a chipmaker due to Foundry concerns.
Samsung is reportedly planning a regular personnel reshuffle in November this year. This time, major changes could be seen in the senior executive ranks. A layoff is also in the pipeline, aimed at cutting jobs in the marketing division.
Lee Jae-yong will mark his second anniversary as the head of Samsung on October 27. Market attention is now on how he will respond to the existing concerns and set a new course for the tech giant to ensure sustainable growth.
Samsung’s Lee could instruct the reduction of executives within the DS Division. In addition, several president-level technology officials overseeing the memory and foundry businesses could also be replaced with new talents to ensure growth.
Before the reshuffle, the Korean tech giant is thoroughly reviewing key business divisions to streamline underperforming areas, enhance competitiveness in memory chips, and improve communication between research and manufacturing teams.
DS Division is in crisis due to lower-than-expected profits despite the booming AI market. The company’s memory chip research and AI processor efforts are not paying off, requiring the need for an interception and transition.
