T-Mobile offering unlimited Google Photos storage in the US

Published

on

Google Apps

Google provides the ability to store unlimited amounts of photos and videos at a reduced quality on Google Drive or Google One to its Pixel phone users for years but has discontinued its service since last year.

The company is bringing back the ability to store unlimited pictures and videos. And instead of only Pixel users, it’s also expanding this capability to the non-Pixel devices. But it’s limited to T-Mobile customers in the United States.

Eligible T-Mobile users will get the option to store unlimited, full-quality photos and videos on Google Photos from April 26. This will be through an exclusive Google One plan that costs $15 per month, which also includes the 2TB of storage (via 9to5Google).

It should be noted that this plan only applies to the main account holder, which means if you have a family plan, only one of you is getting unlimited storage. However, 2 TB of storage can be shared with up to 5 people.

Additionally, this offer comes with all the usual benefits of Google One, such as the ability to back up your phone to the cloud, access to extended trials for YouTube Premium, Stadia, etc as well as a VPN service for Android and iOS. These benefits can also be shared with up to 5 people.

T-Mobile is also offering a free one-month trial of the new deal to its users. Interested locked T-Mobile customers in the US can check out more details about the new plan through the official T-Mobile website.
