WhatsApp to make search for businesses nearby even easier with new filter tool
Back in July 2021, we heard about a new way to quickly find a new business account on WhatsApp without leaving the app. To be noted, this feature was only released to certain people in So Paulo. Now, according to the information, WhatsApp is working on another feature to easily filter and search nearby businesses using a new interface.
The screenshot mentioned below clearly indicates that, when users will search for content in WhatsApp, there will be a new section called “Nearby businesses”. Here, the business account results will be based on your selection Perform filtering, when you select a category. [via-wabetainfo]
It is worth mentioning that the above screenshots are taken from the Android version of WhatsApp beta. The same function will also be released on the iOS version of WhatsApp Beta, but there is no information about the release date.
As of now, this feature is not available yet, it will soon be available in a future update for those who already have access to the corporate directory. In addition, there is no information regarding the use of the business catalog function by non-So Paulo residents.
