WhatsApp Android Beta update brings new Group Icon
WhatsApp is now releasing a new Android beta update through the Google Play store. The update carries version number 2.21.24.3, which does not bring new features. Although, it comes with a small but interesting change to the group icon.
As per the screenshot mentioned via- Wabetainfo, this new version of Whatsapp beta redesigned the group icon by removing a person from the icon, as you can see below.
Previously, Whatsapp released a beta update that clearly shows that the company is developing community features for Android and iOS for future updates. This feature of the WhatsApp community will be similar to the Discord community and channel.
Also, the community icons are square with rounded edges to recognize the community from the group chat. Most probably, WhatsApp will use the old community icon.
The community is currently under development on the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, so its appearance, functionality, and anything else may change before it is officially released to beta testers.
