Samsung has been working for a long time to enable the Pro mode function for the telephoto camera in order to increase its usability. Now, as per the latest information, the company’s camera in charge reconfirmed that engineers are working to bring this functionality as soon as possible.
In contrast, this information was spotted on the Korean tech giant’s official forum on a Galaxy Note phone user’s query. Furthermore, it’s also reported that the company’s camera division employees are rapidly working to enable this feature ASAP.
Statement of Camera in-charge
- We are considering opening the pro mode telephoto lens as soon as possible, but we ask for your understanding that it is taking time due to various restrictions.
- Our camera department is reviewing the telephoto lens opening from various angles by reflecting the suggestions from many people earlier, so we would appreciate if you could wait a little longer.
For your information, Samsung offers a telephoto lens with flagship and select non-flagship Galaxy devices such as Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A72. As of now, users can access the Pro mode in a wide-angle camera, while it’s not possible to do the same while using a telephoto lens.
It’s noteworthy that the Pro mode lets users heavily adjust camera settings to capture images as best as possible with a smartphone camera. By bringing this functionality for the telephoto lens, Samsung will surely expand its usability.
Pro mode lets Galaxy smartphone users adjust:
- Shutter speed
- White balance
Starting this year, the company introduced its new Galaxy S21 flagship series, which offers the best smartphone camera to date. These devices also support Pro mode with the ultrawide camera out of the box, and Samsung expanded this functionality to more Galaxies via software updates.
