At the moment, several Samsung devices are receiving the June 2021 security patch in different regions. Starting with the Galaxy S21 series, all of the flagships and select mid-range smartphones had received the latest security update.
Meanwhile, the company is also sending the last month’s security patch to many Galaxy devices as per their eligibility. Now, the popular Galaxy A70 smartphone picking up its May 2021 security patch update with a new firmware update across Europe.
Identified via firmware version: A705FNXXU5DUE2, the Galaxy A70’s May 2021 security patch is rolling out in several European countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Portugal, Netherlands, and Austria. It’s expected that it will soon be expanded to more regions as well.
Recently, the Galaxy A70 users had received a new software update that included the One UI 3.1‘s missing feature for this device called 360 Audio. It works with the latest Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds and lets users experience multi-dimensional “theater-like” sound.
Aside from this, Samsung has recently released its revised software update eligibility roadmap. As the Galaxy A70 completed its regular quarterly updates eligibility, it will now receive only two new security updates biannually.
You can now check for the update manually by heading towards device Settings, select the Software updates, and tap on Download and install.
