Wear OS 3.5 April 2023 patch released, awaited for Samsung Galaxy Watch5, Watch4
Google announced Wear OS 3.5 April 2023 security patches for compatible smartwatches. Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 series also run Wear OS 3.5, while the April 2023 patch is currently available for just Google’s Pixel Watch.
According to the info, Google released the monthly Wear OS 3.5 software update for April 2023 and all supported Pixel Watch devices running Wear OS 3.5 will receive this security patch. The company disclosed that the rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device.
Samsung, on the other side, may soon deliver a new One UI Watch update based on Wear OS 3.5 to the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 lineups, installing April 2023 security patches. As soon as your smartwatch gets a new firmware update, you will get notified about that.

Apart from the Pixel Watch April update, Google also started to release the latest patches to compatible Pixel smartphones. With the latest update, Pixel 7 Pro is getting improvements for the Autofocus functionality in Macro Camera mode for better experiences.
Last month, the US tech giant released a hefty firmware update for the Pixel Watch models. The release included everything Google announced in March 2023 Pixel Feature Drop for its Pixel smartwatch. Meanwhile, it’s rumored that the Pixel Watch 2nd-gen could be coming at I/O 2023.

Samsung would unveil the next-gen smartwatch lineup along with the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5. The Watch6 series models are likely to bring major design changes; a curved glass screen in vanilla and a physical rotating bezel in the premium variant.

Samsung has begun releasing the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The update is available in Europe and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
The fresh software update brings system security improvements, stability optimization, bug fixes, and functional enhancement to provide a better experience. It is just a regular update so it does not include any new features or changes except a security maintenance patch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra are getting a May 2024 security update with One UI build ending with BXE3.
If you have received the notification of the update then install it now to get a bug-free experience. You can also check the update by visiting the Settings app on your smartphone and opening the Software Update section.

Samsung has pushed the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone. The update installs the latest Android security patch to improve system security and stability. It arrives with One UI build version S711USQS4CXE2.

Samsung is expanding the May 2024 security update for Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones in India. The update comes with fixes for several vulnerabilities and improves the stability for better performance.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones are receiving a May 2024 update in India with One UI builds mentioned below.
- Galaxy S23 – S911BXXS5CXDE
- Galaxy S23 Plus – S916BXXS5CXDE
- Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918BXXS5CXDE
- Galaxy Z Flip 5 – F731BXXS2CXE2
According to the official details, the May 2024 patch fixes 45 vulnerabilities, out of which Google has addressed 33. It includes 3 vulnerabilities as Critical and 26 as High-level. The patch also has 25 Samsung-specific enhancements.
It is just an incremental update, so it does not bring new features or changes except security maintenance. The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some time to reach all models.
Users can check for the update manually by going to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. If you have received the update then you can install it by following the on-screen instructions.
