Several Galaxy devices already received the May 2023 security update and now it’s time for the Samsung Galaxy A53 smartphone to get this latest software. The new update for Galaxy A53 brings security improvements to make the device more secure.
Users can identify the April 2023 security update of Samsung Galaxy A53 with version A536EXXS5CWE1. It is an initial rollout so it may take some time to reach more models.
The bumped-up firmware weighs 227.04 megabytes package. The update is currently available in Brazil and Samsung will swiftly expand it to more Galaxy A53 smartphones in different markets.
May 2023 Security Patch
Samsung’s May Android security patch brings fixes for over 70 vulnerabilities and exposures that were harming user privacy and security. These vulnerabilities are related to bootloader, Call, App Lock, and more.

How to update software?
Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s System Settings, once done, scroll down and tap the Software update tab, followed by the Download and install button. If you have received the update on your device, install it now to get an error-free experience.

Samsung has started rolling out the advanced 4G band support update for Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, Galaxy XCover 7, and Galaxy XCover 6 devices. The update 4G network compatibility by enhancing the band.
The fresh update has revised support for the LTE TDD band. For German-purchased devices, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
In addition, the update also improves the security and stability of the device. It also fixes some issues for error-free services.

Google Play Store widely releasing ‘Government’ badge for official apps
Google has rolled out a ‘Government’ badge on the Play Store to identify official apps. This badge is marked by an icon of a building and appears in various sections of the store, including the main app feed, search results, and on app pages, next to the app’s rating.
Over 3,000 official apps have received the government badge after a period of testing. Google has collaborated with the respective governments and their developers to ensure the authenticity of these apps.
The badge is now visible on official apps from state and federal governments in several countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
It is recommended by official parties or agencies to use government emails when setting up their developer accounts. Apps that involve sensitive information, like voting or ID services, undergo extra verification.
By clicking on the badge, you can confirm that the app is verified and affiliated with a government entity. This new feature aims to provide users with a secure way to access government services through their mobile devices.
