Samsung announced the launch of a new model of ‘Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360’ laptop equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor. The device feels like a mobile PC with the highest level of performance, speed and efficiency as well as S Pen support and Super AMOLED display.
The company collaborated with Qualcomm to provide optimized performance for the hardware and software of Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. The new edition of Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 edition boasts the highest performance and efficiency, thanks to the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform.

Adding to this, the device packs Qualcomm Adreno GPU, which brings up to 60% higher performance than the Snapdragon 8cx 2nd generation. It enables users to experience improved graphics and faster premium computing performance.

United with the new chipset, Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 System technology supports multi-gigabit, fast and seamless Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. Moreover, it meets Microsoft’s “Secured-Cored PC” standard promising the highest level of security capabilities in Windows 11.

Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360’s 360-degree rotatable touch screen provides both laptop and tablet experience together. With a thickness of 11.5mm and a weight of only 1.04kg, portability is also maximized. It also has a generous battery life that allows up to 30 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Its S Pen support enhances work efficiency by enabling users to write down difficult-to-type content such as important lectures or meetings. Besides, it is easily and quickly linked with various Galaxy devices such as smartphones, tablets, and wearables, making everyday life smarter.
The device will be released on January 16, 2023, in Graphite color with a price tag of 1.89 million won (~ $1490) in South Korea.
Counterpoint Research predicts Wear OS will lead 27% market share in 2024. The growth of Wear OS is highly powered by Samsung apart from Google and newcomers. Meanwhile, HarmonyOS is also growing in mainland China, expected to seize 61% market.
According to the report, Samsung, Google, OnePlus, OPPO, and Xiaomi will drive Wear OS volumes. In the global market, non-WatchOS shoppers prefer Wear OS, while HarmonyOS in China. Accordingly, the Wear OS share outside China will climb to 27% this year.
Samsung Galaxy Watch has a large share of the overall Wear OS market. Google is also expanding its footsteps in the segment, with the third iteration of Pixel Watch coming later this year. Rumor is that an affordable Pixel Watch 2a might also be introduced.

Samsung will reveal the third-gen GAA applied in the 2nm (SF2) process at the VLSI Symposium 2024 BusinessKorea reports. The company will likely commence mass production based on its next-gen (2nm) fabrication process next year.
High production costs and economic downturn benefitted TSMC in 3nm products. Apple’s latest chip is fabricated on a 3 nanometer process node, while the latest Snapdragon chips still utilize 4nm tech. Meanwhile, Samsung aims for third-gen GAA to apply in the 2nm process.
Well, Taiwan’s TSMC is also targeting GAA technology for 2nm products. Faster adoption and production are expected to push Samsung Foundry to gain clients. Competitive pricing would also benefit it bringing back consumers like Qualcomm for Snapdragon.
