Samsung has started delivering a new software update for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in the US that installs the latest November 2022 Android security patch. Meanwhile, the users are still waiting for the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update, which is already available in other countries.

The November 2022 security patch update is currently releasing for the Carrier-unlocked models of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices in the US. It comes with One UI build version N981U1UES3FVJ1 and N986U1UES3FVJ1.

Furthermore, the latest software update does not bring any new features or notable changes to the devices. It improves the security of your phone’s system in order to protect it from bugs and viruses and keep your files secure.

In addition to this, the update also enhances the device stability so that you can get the best of your phone with seamless performance. It also helps in reducing issues like app crashing, system lagging, screen flickering, and others.

Besides these, Samsung recently released the security patch details for the November month update, which mentions fixes for multiple issues and vulnerabilities that affects your device’s privacy and security. As per the support page, the update includes 3 critical, 32 high, and 1 moderate level of CVEs.

Other than these common changes, there is nothing that the update brings. However, a major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update is coming soon to your phone that will bring a slew of new features and countless improvements. It is expected that Note 20 devices will get One UI 5.0 this month.

In any case, you can check the new software update for your Galaxy device through Settings >> Software updates. Just tap on the Download and install option and the available update will appear on your screen.

The new update of the Samsung Internet Browser app brings the ability to display menu bars while scrolling. This subtle yet impactful change ensures that users have uninterrupted access to navigation controls, enhancing usability and ensuring that essential functions are always within reach. Users of Galaxy devices have already tested this feature in the Internet Beta version.

Google’s Pixel phones received the first Developer Preview of Android 15 in April 2024. The new operating system will remain limited to the Pixel lineup until I/O, while, Samsung will open its Beta Program — One UI 7 — for Galaxy devices sometime in August 2024.

One UI 6.1 is the latest Galaxy skin based on Android 14. The One UI 7, powered by Android 15 will debut on many Samsung devices later this year. While it’s just the beginning of 2024, we already know Galaxy devices are eligible for Android 15.

Google released Android 15 DP2 in late March and Public Beta also started in April 2024. Around I/O 2024, Android vendors like Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus will also initial Public Beta for their flagships, which Samsung is unlikely to follow.
