Samsung rolls out October 2022 security update for Galaxy A32, A21
Samsung Galaxy A32 and Galaxy A21 smartphone users have begun installing the latest October 2022 Android security patch update in distinct regions. The update comes with improvements for device performance as well as fixes for issues that affect users’ experience.
As per the information, the latest update primarily boosts up the security of your phone’s system to protect it from bugs and viruses. It also makes sure that your private files and documents are saved safely on your device.

On the other hand, optimizing the stability is another aspect that the security patch update focuses on. With this enhancement, Samsung wants to provide you with a seamless and uninterrupted performance by reducing problems like crashing, lagging, etc.

That’s not it but the company’s software support page mentions fixes for over four dozen privacy and security-related issues and vulnerabilities. These include 18 SVEs from Samsung and 48 CVEs from Google which were highly causing your phone’s security.
Software versions:
Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy A32 October 2022 security update in countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. And, you can identify the new update in these regions through One UI build version A325MUBS2BVJ1.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A21 is getting the October 2022 update in the US. The T-Mobile and Sprint-locked customers are receiving it with firmware version A215USQS8CVI7, whereas, Xfinity Mobile users can identify it via the A215USQS8CVI6 version.
If you haven’t yet received the update notification on your device, head over to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install to check it. Meanwhile, to download it, hit the Download button.
Samsung has pushed a new update for Galaxy Tab A8, which installs the latest Android security patch released in April 2024 to improve system security and stability. Users can identify the update through the One UI build version ending with DXD5.
Users of Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 are receiving the April 2024 security update in Korea and Europe. It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all eligible models.

Samsung Good Lock is a widely used customization app, but users have been facing a functional issue with its start screen behavior. Users have noticed that the app, which used to open on the last tab they viewed, now opens by default on the ‘Terrace’ tab every time it is visited.
This change from the expected behavior was reported by a user who pointed out that the app should remain on the last tab where it was turned off. Instead, the app now consistently starts from the ‘Terrace’ tab, causing minor inconvenience to those who rely on its original functionality.
However, the Samsung community moderator has acknowledged the issue and announced that a solution is underway. The fix will be included in the next update, ensuring that the app will function as intended.
Users of Samsung Good Lock can look forward to the upcoming update, which promises to restore the app’s smart tab selection feature and enhance overall usability.
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention! As you said, normal operation is for the last page viewed to be selected first. We will correct this part and have it reflected in the next version release,” said the community moderator.

April 2024 is about to end and Samsung is rolling out the second software update for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones. However, this series already received the April patch earlier this month and now getting another software update.
The second April 2024 update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is currently live in the UAE and is expected to expand to more countries soon. The update improves the system’s security and stability to enhance the overall performance.

To check for software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
