Samsung is introducing a new initiative to raise awareness of recycling old and used phones and tablets in France. The company has provided collection points in the city of Saint-Ouen for customers who are done with using their old devices. People can drop off their used devices smartphones, tablets, cables, and other mobile accessories.

Later, Samsung workers will take these products and accessories and hand them over to the ECOSYSTEM organization. This will recover as much material as possible from these devices. Samsung says one of such collection points will be available until October 28 in Saint-Ouen.

This conference will happen on October 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Serre Wangari in Saint-Ouen. In this meeting, speakers will notably return to the importance of repairing and recycling smartphones in the context of climate emergencies.

Moving ahead, more than 100 million mobile phones are placed in drawers because they are not useful for customers in France. 78% of these phone components can now be recycled, but only about 5% of smartphone users choose to recycle their old devices. That’s why Samsung and the city of Saint-Ouen are educating people about recycling old phones, tablets, cables, and mobile accessories.

Samsung is committed to protecting the environment for many years and works every day to reduce its environmental footprint. The company’s headquarters in France which is located in Saint-Ouen is quite natural that CSR wants to partner with Samsung to conduct this awareness campaign among the inhabitants.
