Here’s why Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has a notched display

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8

Samsung’s latest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8 series, they are going to be a powerful device, but there is some controversy about the Ultra model. People noticed the notch on the Galaxy Tab S8 display and it ruffled some feathers. While this is not really what anyone wants, see here why there is a notched display on this table.

OEMs have been thinning their bezels for years and that trend has reached a dangerous level. The notch prevents the display from placing important sensors such as a proximity sensor and a front-facing camera.

Although this trend has affected smartphones, tablets have remained the same. This is because no one really cares about having a full-screen tablet. Additionally, bezels give you somewhere to hold on to the tablet. Regardless, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has hit us with the notched display.

Despite the fact that no one is asking, Samsung is adding thinner bezels to its tablets year after year. With the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, the screen is pushed very close to the edge, with the front camera slightly protruding.

Galaxy Tab S8 features notch front-facing cameras

The Galaxy Tab S8 features the notch front-facing cameras on the Ultra. What sets this setup apart from the other two variants is that it has two cameras. One is a 12MP wide-angle camera and the other is a 12MP ultra-wide camera.

This dual-camera setup is mostly intended for video calling. During a video call, you have a camera capable of tracking your face automatically. Having two cameras helps the tablet track your face, but unfortunately, it takes up more space.
