Samsung Galaxy M31 Software Update: December 2021 patch rolling in India
Back in March 2020, Samsung introduced a new budget smartphone – Galaxy M31, which was very popular in India. The phone packs a massive 6000mAh battery, Exynos 9611 SoC processor, and many notable features at a very affordable price.

When it comes to software, the device was shipped with the Android 10-based One UI 2.0. Later on, the company released the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 last year, while it will have to spend its remaining life on Android 12-based One UI 4.0.

December 2021 security patch – India
Samsung is now rolling out a new firmware update to the Galaxy M31 smartphone users in India. The update has a package size of less than 500MB and carries firmware version:
- M315FXXS2BUK2
Samsung’s December 2021 security patch comes with fixes to 5 critical, 22 high and 3 moderate CVEs from Google.
If you want to check for the latest update manually, head to your device Settings tap on Software updates and finally hit the Download and install button.
Samsung has started rolling out the advanced 4G band support update for Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, Galaxy XCover 7, and Galaxy XCover 6 devices. The update 4G network compatibility by enhancing the band.
The fresh update has revised support for the LTE TDD band. For German-purchased devices, the update will disable TDD 4G network support in ten European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
In addition, the update also improves the security and stability of the device. It also fixes some issues for error-free services.

Google has rolled out a ‘Government’ badge on the Play Store to identify official apps. This badge is marked by an icon of a building and appears in various sections of the store, including the main app feed, search results, and on app pages, next to the app’s rating.
Over 3,000 official apps have received the government badge after a period of testing. Google has collaborated with the respective governments and their developers to ensure the authenticity of these apps.
The badge is now visible on official apps from state and federal governments in several countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
It is recommended by official parties or agencies to use government emails when setting up their developer accounts. Apps that involve sensitive information, like voting or ID services, undergo extra verification.
By clicking on the badge, you can confirm that the app is verified and affiliated with a government entity. This new feature aims to provide users with a secure way to access government services through their mobile devices.

Samsung is rolling out an April 2024 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 series with a One UI build version N98xBXXSAHD3 and Galaxy M33 is receiving it with PDA version M336BUXXS7DXD1 in India.
If you have received the notification of the update then install it now to get a bug-free experience. You can also check the update by visiting the Settings app on your smartphone and opening the Software Update section.
Now, click on the Download and install option. If any update is available, you can follow the on-screen instructions to install the update on your Galaxy smartphone.
